Seeing as with the upcoming I13 we get the patrol function and gain double XP from that. A thing I'm not to keen on and know others also not.
My suggestion is that instead of getting a bar of double XP you get it as a temppower. You are then free to choose when/if you want to use your double XP and not be forced to use it, just because you forgot to log of in the right place. Also instead of getting it as a bar, you get it on a timer, with something like 30-60 min of double XP when you activate it.
