Please let us buy in game upgrades off the website

The plaync store has always had redicules security measures, if you use a creditcard and get billed on it, and then remove it just because you dont like stores keeping your details online you are no longer allowed to add that same card.
If you want to use a creditcard issued in a different country then what your plaync profile sais you need to contact support first or the card gets declined for fraud.
I am happy to have acces to this mastercard, because maestro people have just been screwed over completly.

I hate credit cards with a passion and would not wan't to get one just to purchase something on an ingame store.
I also hate Maestro cards, they are not nearly as easy to use outside the UK as a Visa Debit (Cirrus is not a prevailant as Visa)
But, I can't blame Maestro (or Credit Cards) in this instance as they are accepted on the website.
It's NC's fault for not having in-game store items available on the website, which really annoyed me today as I wanted to buy 5 extra slots (I only have 2 spare, both for my shield & pain toons) but as I don't do credit cards & only have Maestro/Paypal I couldn't give them my money.
I hope this gets fixed otherwise I'll have to wait till July to be able to make another new toon (or, make one on Onion...urgh 
)
Too add, you ought to be able to buy website stuff in game too... to buy the wedding packs and the cyborg pack you have to rootle around on the website to find what you want to buy. 
I think it's a bit funny that ppl who don't have credit card or anything like it are totaly screwed... we can buy game-time card... but have no chance what-so-ever to get more slots, buy weding/cyborg/whatever packs... we can play the game and live with what NCSoft don't force players to pay extra for...
I really thought they had made it smart enough so ppl with game-time card would pay with some of that game-time instead... it really adds up to the same

You should bare in mind that there are also a lot of people who, given the number of places that get hacked these days, don't WANT to give their card details out online. Allowing people to use the GTC's to purchase stuff from the store OTHER than game time would be the perfect solution.

Unfortunately I don't have any specifics to share, however I will state that we're always looking at ways to increase payment options. In some cases there are technical limitations (in the case of putting the booster packs on the in-game store, for example) that need to be solved before any major changes can be implemented. Trust me: we know that making things available more easily to a larger group of people is a good idea! All alternative payment options need to be assessed for viability, however, and that takes time. Many simply aren't feasible as they cost us too much to make them available to be financially sound.
Let me put it this way for you. If you want to give NC your money, they will go to great lengths to let you do so. Any limitations in payment options is squarely down to the banks. Remember, NC WANT your money.

Actually, the banks are generally pretty good. It's unfortunate that some alternative methods of online payment charge significant fees to the seller, others potentially open the floodgates to potential fraudulent purchases, some are technically difficult to incorporate and many are of very limited scope (eg country-specific).
As an example, PayPal is only offered now because of improvements they have made in terms of protecting sellers from fraudulent purchases.

Sorry ... forgot that PayPal is currently limited to a few countries. If you aren't seeing it as an option then your country may not be on the allowed list yet. This is because PayPal doesn't always operate the same in all countries, so we have to make a per-country decision on whether it is viable to offer it.

And that is different for every NC Game? Like I was able to buy NCCoins for Exteel with paypal.

I only have 3 options on the website and in-game
Visa, MasterCard and American Express
I have a MasterCard Cash card... doesn't work
my g/f has Visa Electron card... doesn't work
my mother has a MasterCard, and for some reason that doesn't work either, 'cos apparently in Denmark MasterCards don't have the 3 control numbers on the back side
and yeah... PayPal isn't an option for Denmark either

I've never met a company so paranoid over it, tbh. Especially when places like play.com and amazon, places FAR more likely to need extra security controls to protect from fraud, AREN'T even remotely this restrictive!

It's not just booster packs for CoH we're talking about here. When we offer new payment methods we look to offer them across as many titles and as many products as possible. Fraud has been a big issue for us in the past (even leading to the complete removal of at least one payment option due to the costs associated), and it will continue to be a consideration in future.
However, let's not concentrate on fraud here ... as I said earlier, it is not the only consideration when it comes to offering alternative payment systems.

I think your companys threshold for what constitutes a big fraud problem must differ from most then.
Because if i can make several consecutive transactions totalling a few grand with any electrical e tailer, i for the life of me cant understand why i cant spend 8 quid 3 times with you, without getting a fraud suspicion warning.
I only hope so new way of paying for extra slots and charichter transfers is introduced soon as at the moment the only way I can see of me being able to buy them is some how add my credit card to my account use it to by slots then remove it again as I don't wish to use my cc for my monthly sub. And while I'm on that subject any chance well be getting a new meathod to pay for a monthly sub as since the hole mystro thing I'm left having to use either paypal or bye time both of which are less than conveanyent. How's about being able to set up a direct debt or somthing
I'll just ask my questions again:
Does it depend on the game whether or not you can pay with paypal? As I was able to buy NCCoins with paypal for Exteel.
And...will it ever be possible to pay with paypal from a country that does not have it listed yet.(in my case: The Netherlands). And if so...when could I expect that...half a year...a year from now? 5 years from now?

Other online retailers seem to think it's safe enough. I think NC have tried to make things TOO secure, due to some misplaced paranoia, to the extent that the system works AGAINST the gamers.
This is pretty much proven by how annoying the site is to use with your card of choice, and how restrictive it is with using your card when you happen to be in another country.
I'd be a bit buggered if I tried to renew or purchase anything through my work internet connection, wouldn't I? That's routed through Finland, afterall... No other retailer stops me doing that... Hell, I spent a couple of grand that way a few months ago... Was NO problem at all...
