Next Booster Pack Idea
[ QUOTE ]
Big surprise from me but I'd like to see a Bug Hero Booster.
There'd be a lot more options for bug heroes such as ant-like mandibles, stag beetle pincers, six/eight-legged back packs (like Arachnos but scaled down), scorpion tails, beetle shells, etc
I'd love to see helmets for bug heroes that look kinda like Kamen Rider Kabuto
I'm not sure on powers since it's hard to think of bug heroes without referencing the web-slinger....
But yeah! Bug Boosters!

Yes please as long as we can have the arachnoid arms.
As for a power how about.
Spit venom: same animation as the poison spit that masterminds have dose some (very) minor toxic damage and some minor -regen
or
Spit web: same animation (grey goo instead of green tho) minor hold or imob.
or
Summon hive: summon a load of swarms to your location which buzz about and make a general nuisance of them selves for a short while before the disperse. any aggro they generate would be directed at you.
Those are some interesting powers but I think the one I like most is the swarm idea. It's graphics are already present ingame, it's just a matter of tweaking a few things to give it to us.

I'll give you that one, purely because you're a beetle. However, don't say things like that unless you happen to work for the Powers Group in NCNC. For starters, the power you're talking about has a load of weird stuff in it which is bound to require more than "a matter of tweaking."

Harsh. And true I don't know much about the power development, but I do recognise that it's easier to tweak an existing elelment than creating one from scratch. I only said that as a relative term.

I wouldn't be so sure of that if I were you... especially when considering how animations and powers are related in this game.

Frankly, the only thing that is being saved is the animation and artwork for the swarms. The power calls for them to be triggered by a power and behave in a totally different way to the existing use of that artwork resource.
Now, if you think that's trivial and couldn't possibly cause any issues, just look at the fun they've had with a trivial power like Self-destruction. And that doesn't have tricks in it like Threat Diversion, which currently isn't even in the game as far as I'm aware.

how about no, NCsoft isn't going to make a pack that leaves a lot of players out
[/ QUOTE ] Unlike say a cyborg pack that not everyone uses or has a use for?
[/ QUOTE ]
the cyborg pack is at least useful for everyone, not exclusive for lvl 50 owners.
using it is your own choice, but having a power for a VEAT like the PB makes it a bit to exclusive for a small group of ppl.
Yeah ok I got the message, Sorudo, sheesh lol

I think you'll find that that should be "the cyborg pack can be used by everyone" since the cyborg pack (and especially the rather dumb power) is not useful to everyone.
At the point where any of my fully organic characters start making noises like a siren, blow off large amounts of steam, and then explode, I'll just hang up my hat. Frankly, with the overdone animation, it's not even 'useful' to my robotic heroes.

what about the sentinal power from elec blast dose that not use some kind of threat diversion
Not from the description, no. The Sentinal isn't alive and can't be targetted. If it attacks someone, they are going to look for the first target, which might not be the caster.

Any aggro the Sentinal generates is transfered to the pet owner.
I really should do something about this signature.

Transferred to, or tends to fall upon?
Of course, all that's needed there was for the pet owner to be the originator of the damage. I don't think the swarms in the original power do damage.

Transfered directly too. As far as the mobs are concered, it was the sentinal's owner that did the damage.

Hmm, you have a point. I rescend my opinion.
But yesh, more bug hero parts please! I'd love to have a beetle-themed back-pack
so a mechanic dose exist for the aggro generated by a pet to be transferred to the owner so if the swarms were coded in the same way as the sentinel they would work
