Server select screen crash

I seem to get a crash a lot, where I log a character out, then when I go to log another one in, the moment I hit defiant, it crashes out.

I have gone down the road of customer support who have got me to run endless tests, despite me telling them that others in my SG, various teams and my flatmate are all getting it too.

Does anyone else get this and has anyone found a solution?

I'm getting this. As are both my duo partners.

I daren't try customer support, because they'll tell me they don't support Bootcamp, and i'll look back on the wasted effort and cry

The way I look at it, they have about 50 DxDiags, 20 Everests and numerous hijackThis reports, they can browse all my older ones.

I just wish support was worth contacting,lol, you could say your leg was falling off and they would still get you to all the above )

I'm getting this problem too, I select Union so it probably doesn't matter which server you select.

In the past, this has been caused by the water quality settings being set higher than your video drivers are happy with. Have you tried going in to safe mode and adjusting your video options, keeping the water setting low to see if that helps?

Aura's have also caused this issue in the past as well.

Got the same issue, happens about once a week to me. Even if I crash I just restart and can log in any character fine after that.

I'm getting this too about once a week. I logout to the password screen and go back to the server select, click 'Union' and Boom! crash with the option to send a report to Cryptic. After restarting (with compulsory complete file scan) straight in, no problem. The crash never happens on first log in, only if I've previously been on a server and logout to the menu and try to get back in.

However it happens so infreqently I've not bothered to contact customer support. The devs must have a dozen or more crash logs from me over the last few months though.

Thanks FFM, dont have any auras though, and water settings are low anyway.

It logs in fine after restart, its just a pain in the [censored] when logging in and out to check alts wentys etc
