Power Selection
Well my 2p is...
Thermal : Mostly ally targeted which shouldn't break your Illusion's based invisibility. (Apart from the top 2 powers.)
Kinetics : Mostly enemy targeted and will therefore make you draw agro, thus making you a target.
Sonic : Had to mention this just for the 'Hot oat cereal' glow effect on allies.
My personal opinion would be to suggest Thermal, As it has Team, and ally heals and a rez. (With big explosion.)
Some mob just nuked a team mate and is hanging around preventing them from either being given or using a wakie?
Superior Invisibility to walk up to them unnoticed and Power of the Phoenix to get them back on their feet and damage the mob at the same time.
From a looks perspective Force Field would work also, the other two however would be more fun IMO and better for end game play.

Ill/Therm is more thematic than /kin. High temperatures can cause illusions (e.g. typical desert mirages).

I'm planning a Ill/ Controller build, over the idea of a hero who can bend light. Any good themed ideas for a secondary? I'm stuck between Thermal Radiation or Kinetics
