I suggested this on the Champions forums, too 
I think it's a great idea. Arena play is missing, but sadly the imbalance of classes in CoX just means that no PvP games are going to be any good yet.

i posted this in a thread with in the suggestion forums, Due to a fairly good reponse i have given it a thread of its own and slightly expanded up on it.
pvp style bank job/safe gaurds where you can sign up at a contact then a little bit of match making magic (team size/lvl matching)and boom PVP with a little more purpose.
thus heroes feel heroic and villians feel a little meaner
npc rescue/kidnap - (capture the flag style)
Artifact hunt - when picked up the players powers are nutrilised(sp)then his team have to protect him to a score zone.
king of the hill/building - control a building (have players inside it) for the most time with in a set time limit.
please comment and add your own ideas.
