Dark/Dark Tank
I know my guide is for scrappers, but the pwoers are esentially the same.
I would go for crushing impacts in your attacks and you'll be wanting all for of the rez enhancing Impervium armors in all your shields. Put an end redux in tough.
Oh get smite earlier.
OK, paste me up the data chunk from your build and I'll tweak the slotting etc for what I would do with these power choices. I'll also post up my DM/Fire tank build as most of the shield slotting should be the same.

Six slot Death Shroud; this will do more damage over a mission than Smite or Shadow Maul. 2acc, 2 dmg, 1taunt, 1endred - I'd move the slots from boxing.
Drop Cloak of Fear, Oppresive gloom does the crowd control fine and costs no end CoF chews end.
Replace Siphon Life with Touch of Fear you'll get better usage. With OP taking out the minions ToF will allow you to perma fear bosses/lieuts (also reduces their Acc).
I'd get Shadow Maul in place of Cloak of Fear. In normal usage a Tank should be contributing to the damage it also makes the alt more fun to play - if you don't enjoy it you wont play it and it is a game after all.

Talkin from my dark/fire tank's point of view, you indeed need more slots on deathshroud. It is too good to underslot, needs at least 2 acc, rest can be filled in with damage/end, maybe a taunt but i dont have a taunt slotted cause i use fire AoEs anyway.
Cloak of Fear is droppable (i dropped it). It all depends on your team really. Thing is, you cant effectively use CoF with deathshroud, as the ticks of damage breaks their fear. Stun on the other hand doesnt have that problem, however enemies try to walk out of your stun. If you team alot with a troller with aoe immob (and knows when to use it) you get far more out of oppressive gloom compared to cloak of fear.
Don't slot boxing, you wont use it that often i found. The extra stun chance is nice when tackling hard targets like bosses, but for the rest its not really worth it i found (compared to other powers you could slot instead).

Sometimes as a Dark tank one may want to actually taunt an AV at range limiting them to ranged attacks - for lower dps on them or to direct damage away from team or even in melee due to easy AV, support or team make up but either way...
If you imagine 4 minions who are not death shrouded but feared, and kept alive for every time your health drops to worrying limits then you have feared foes to be dark regened off of for a full health bar. They may attack you but then go back to being feared.
I have seen invulns tank AVs with minions kept alive for defense purposes. If your ice melee with frozen aura or ice patch then understandably it'll work better.
Solo a quick off with death shroud and on with CoF waiting on a recharge may prove at times beneficial and perhaps it can be used for many more reasons that will come to people
I am not saying get it and I am not saying don't.
To of been able to upload and fiddle with this build may of been good.
(Tanking an outdoor GM I have used minions for defense purposes on an Invuln and used CoF for regen purposes on a Dark Brute - you always get someone who kills them for you XD )

everyone has commented on the powers and everyone has different oppinions on that so mine thrown in will just case more confusion (just did a dark dark PvE build in player questions- soloer)
what i will say is;- i think soul drain doesent recharge enough to warrent the use of the chance for BU its only a small chance and wont be spammed so will only happen rarely
put it into Focused accuracy. Hetacomb for midnight grasp.
i would 6 slot siphon life with numina and 1 acc at level 50 but whilst leveling i would keep 2 accs 2 rech 2 heals
pretty much same with regen numina has +maxhp which as a dark tank you dont have.
ok i will comment on build.. DA is to me a regen based set drop tough take more powers from set (or earlier)
