I have the 400 pvp badge on a pure Empath.But you need a REALLY good team to help you with that or play constantly with heavies and expect months maybe year to acquire it.Especially after the reputation changes.
Solo no, unless you are good at PvP and you have a good pvp build.
Also villains HATE emps.
But on the flip side hero's LOVE emps so teaming shouldnt be too hard and will make it a lot easier to get your rep. Not sure about defiant but on Union sirens and RV get some team action quite often.
PS: Using a heavy to PvP is not a good idea.But it kinda makes a point how faulty the reward system for pvp is.
Should be possible but would be a lot of hardwork. Also you are dependent on villains pvp'ing which is not always the case. And if there are villains about and you are soloing it would be fairly difficult as that heavy wont save you. You have got a tough task on your hands especially as rep goes down. Good luck if you do decide to go for it.

My build is fairly non-pvp. The advantages I do have is loads of accolades. And a regen rate with Regen aura at 65+ hp/sec.
Teaming seems to be my option then. And I do know about the hatred villains have for Empaths. So many times I've been ganked. But hey, it's fun to pvp

Well, Illusion does help. As Empath/nrg I have no Stealth/confuse/Pets...

Pets are not that useful really, invis... well I'd get it for a PvP empath defender always... and confuse, what can I say, trollers got less HP instead so it's even
