Chance of BU IO: Zombies or Grave Knights?
If the Proc is a AoE, i would say zombies. Afaik Knights only have headsplitter has AoE (mini cone) while zombies got trowup and that range attack.
It is checked each time you do the attack, dispite you hit or miss. (unless its a debuff on mob, wich you need to hit).
My mercs all have achilles heal, the chance of res debuff and it really doesnt trigger that often compared to my AR blaster, dispite 6 pets nonstop shooting -def powers.

Each time your pet attacks the proc has a chance to go off, the same as the build up proc for ranged attacks, and lasts for a few seconds. As such it would be best in a pet with a decent attack chain, which the zombies sadly lack - the Grave Knights on the other hand should make good use of it.

IIRC the Build Up Proc is a small chance to initiate a 5-Second long "Build Up" effect on the pet that activates it. It kicks in after the roll for the attack that triggers it, so your "current attack" does not get buffed.
If BOTH your current attack finishes animating AND the roll for the pet's next attack triggers within those 5 seconds, then you'll get the buff applied to that next attack. So this Proc will vastly favour pets which have fast-recharging, quick-animating attacks.
So, how about Robotics? Which pet should I put BU (or in fact the (Soulbound Allegiance) set?
Thanks

My Grave Knights have Achille's Heel PROC too, but I never see it to trigger. However, my Lich has a Slow Rech PROC and it fires quite often. Is -Res effect invisible or bugged?
You will not be able to see the trigger. The proc is a debuff on the mob your pets are hitting. If you take a look, the first debuff they get are the debuff shields flashing on them which indicates the -def. The -res doesnt show.
The only way to test it is to have one pet shoot at a mob and then see if the damage that the different bursts do changes. The best way to do this is not to buff your T1 mercs and then check the damage. You should see a small variation in the damage when it procs. It doesnt look like much, the burst will do eg. 12 damage rather than 11. But that is +1 per tick on what is essentially a dot, it adds up. Without this IO slotted in all 3 pets, merc damage is really limp.

[/ QUOTE ]That's odd, it certainly shows when slotted in normal attacks.
As for necro and the BU proc, it'd probably work best in knights, but the force feedback +rech proc is quite desirable there as well.

+Rech works on pets? Do they attack faster, or it just buffs me?
It buffs their recharge rate. I have found that the +rech proc on the knights does not do that much since their abilities recharge fast anyway. It DOES have a huge impact on the assault bot for bot MMs tho, especially post 32. Those burn patches suddenly appear a lot more!
@Boerewors
The res debuff is shown randomly it seems. If i dont do any -res debuff once in a while you see the orange triangles apear on the mob.
Yet more often, you see the 'debuff' icon in your own buff icons, with the message 'your resistance has been reduced'.
As for the recharge, on a AR blaster this is really lovely. On a commando, it sux. His attacks are the pre-normalisation thus hardly trigger.

I am planning to buy a Soulbound Allegiance: Chance of Build Up recipe. AFAIK, it only buffs the pets where it is used.
I must choose: Zombies or Grave Knights? My two Knights are my main damage dealers, but Zombies are three and have AoE attacks (better chances to fire BU on them?).
Related question: How does it work? How is BU chance checked? By time, by attacks, by hits...? Does BU buff just one attack, or lasts time enough to buff other hits?
