Numina's Set and Healing Aura: a question

Blue Rabbit

My Mind/Emp is now at a point where I have the option of either slotting in a Numina's Heal OR a Numina's +Reg +Rec on Healing Aura. I only have 5 slots in it and I've got all the other Numina's enhancements already in. I don't have Fitness' Heal on my build. I also never PvP.

So, what I'd like to read, is your opinion about which one I should go for. If anyone wants, I'll post Blue's build. Thanks.

If you have no where else to put the +reg +Rec then healing aura is as good a place as any. Just need to make sure you fire it off every 120 seconds to get the benefit

Would you gain any enhancement benefit from slotting the Heal? I may be wrong, but it looks to me like you probably haven't maxed out the enhancement bonuses with the four componenets of Numina's you've got slotted so far. As far as I can see it your options would be:
i) Slot the Numina's Heal. This way you'll heal for the maximum amount on each application. You also get the 5-slot bonus (Hold resistance) if you find that useful...
ii) Slot the Numina's +Reg/+Rec. As Cynic mentioned, this would work quite well but would require you to activate the power every 120sec. It would also give you the (rather lacklustre) 5-slot bonus. TBH I wouldn't go for this one myself. If you've managed to get this far without Stamina then you probably don't need it - in addition, without Stamina to stack with it really isn't that big a bonus. YMMV, of course
iii) slot with something from another set. Personally I'd go for either a Heal/Rech or End/Heal/Rech from another set (Doctored Wounds would make sense) and maximise the enhancement aspects of the power.

Ah I forget that defenders sometimes use their heal to actually heal. Yes thats true probably worth getting to the heal cap on it.

As my def is slotted up with miracles am not sure where that is, you might be able to take out an existing enhancement for the heal and then put the +rec +Reg in as well without losing too much.

I'm now more inclined to the Heal, but as this involves a lot of Inf (and I don't have the time to farm for it ) I really appreciate your opinions so far. Thanks a lot! ^_^

Ok, Its late but better late then never seeing as though there are only a couple of replies. Sue me thread necromancy wardens.

Personally I'd drop Psi Tornado and get Health instead, (Psi Tornados only good for crowd control in my opinion, lacking any real damage, and you have loads of control there with that build already) I'd get health instead, then slot the Numina Unique there for the auto effect every 120 secs.
And don't forget Golgi's! for any spare Heal Aura slots - Level 52 Hamidon Golgi Heal/Ends are a very respectable 38.3% respectively (if memory serves) - they are tad pricey though.

Personally, since you are SS, i'd respec out Swift for Health.

I find on my Empath that a quick burst of SS to get to someone i need to heal is much more efficient than hoping a can get there a little faster with swift.

Sure overall swift will make you get to missions faster, but its up to you if u want the juicy bonus or not
