Curiosity - don't kill me!

Question to Netherwitch and Tyger
I just wanted to ask Netherwitch and Tyger something. Do you guys have two groups or are you working together? Tyger was telling me about his idea last night on the Militia channel, and I'm wondering if the two groups are the same?
[/ QUOTE ]I can only speak for myself when I say my group happens to have a similar working agenda although not the same origin. The crux is that mine would support Netherwitch's or more rather it could be an extension of it.
If not (if it doesn't work for this) I can always continue with my original plan now my group is registered.

Essentially at this point what we're doing (I hope) is just trying to get this off the ground rather than everyone just talking potentially possibly doing something. We've got a lot of good ideas going, but there needs to be a bit more forward movement as I've had a fair few people ask about a lot of the ongoing storylines. However in the rp world nothing moves quickly; Loup has only just met one of Synth's character and they've expressed their views, and Loup has no now find and introduce himself to others who might similarly share these views. Which essentially means the best way to do this is for people to put away their brand new db/wp characters, get on the characters they intend on planning to play for this, find either me, Synth, or Tyger and rp! Heh, of course with the new toys to play with this week, this isn't something I envision happening this week, but maybe once the novelty wears off.
At the moment, the main groundwork is in the works on Synth's side, though I honestly admit I've no idea what Tyger is doing with his story or how it will mesh together. This is one of the blessing/curses of me only having two characters I play - I've a lot more time to dedicate to a character's story than most, but I can't make bricks without clay. I'm waiting just like everyone else as this isn't really my baby - I'm just pointing people in the general direction.
In any event, if there's been developments, please let folks know in this thread as folks come to me with their questions - and to be honest I really don't know any more than most in this particular story. But then that makes it all the more fun! I don't do scripts.
Oh, and Hatesman, I rather think you hit the "Why?" right on the head. Though again, I do rather think it's a "because"...because we like the storyline, because we like the idea, because pretending to have a secret that slips out is rather trite as I think everyone is playing a character with a secret which will eventually slip out, and to us the challenge is having a secret which we keep and only a tiny group of us actually have - with the threat looming of potentially losing everything if it gets out. This is one storyline I'm willing to sacrifice my character for...yes I'm sort of hardcore like that. But in this particular case, to me I'd rather do "all or nothing" or it just doesn't have the appropriate sting. And I know there are people who think that's gonzo...but people do things differently. This is just my own way of doing stuff.
If you know of Shock Tactics (you might do... we've been known to RP on Defiant, just cuz) we have a sub group called "Ultrashock" who are, in effect the "Black Ops" division of the main group. We've not managed to make a massive impact with them at this time but... the opportunity is there... so if you need a place to explore a story of this nature then drop by sometime and say hi
Thelonious Monk
Don't forget though, that while player characters hurl fire, throw trucks and decimate entire buildings...so can the enemy. I doubt there are too many examples of targets that are unable to take a beating; otherwise I think the regular law enforcement would be more effective.
In a city of mutants, monsters, and demons...even the "natural" folk are at the pinnacle of what a human can be. Our bodies are already pretty resilient (surviving a long distance fall without a parachute, getting vitals skewered and walking away, etc) without super powers.
