Heh Kobolt-something looks more like a D&D team 
When i started Victorious Six (V6) it supposed to based on Far-east philosophy over elements of life. Fire, water, air, earth, void and mind. But later i lost my appetite for the game and it vanished from exsistance. Now V6 is more a good hearted people team which is better.
For a themed SG i am waiting for I11 to come live. Than i can begin my long wanted idea of Psychic Platoon which only includes heroes with psychic powers and i think that will be my real come back. 
I know of an am member of 3 themed SG's
"PGG - the Paragon Ghost Guard" Military themed Heroside SG
Focusing on Natural human, as well as a few technilogically/Scientifically enhanced ones.
"TGR - The Ghost Rejects" Villainside version of the above
"Twisted Helix"
Villanside group of Cloned/Manufactured/Trained counterparts to "the Surviving 8" (Statesman, Positron and the gang) with possible expansion into versions of "the Vindicators"
The two first are recruiting and a short description of them both as well as links to the PGG forum can be found in the Union SG thread (heroside)
There's the Reservoir Dolls, an SG exclusively made up of female AR/Dev blasters. They've been active for a little under 2 years.
i supose you could class all the sgs of the 1AT colaition (if there still going) them sgs since they only alow one AT in each group

I remember seeing a SG on either heroes or villains which consisted of nothing but hobos, tramps, and the destitute. :3 It was pretty funny, haha.

Also there is "Men in Thights" but it is on Defiant if i recall correctly.
Oh and there is "Pride" on Union, a super group for [censored] heroes, if this applies your concept idea. It is only accepts heroes with different sexual orientations male or female. But keep in mind it is about heroes not players themselves.
I'm curious howmany themed sg's there are and what type?
I mean players who willingly created or altered an character to fit into the theme.
Do you know or are you in an Themed SG?
I once saw a small group of kobolts (monsterous face with scales) who shared an identical naming from at (Kobolt-Sorcerer, Kobolt-Ranger, etc).
