Cool idea, love themes!
As it happens, a pocket of my SG devotes one night a week to specific team up toons that level together. They're spandex clasd mainly but have that individual style. Feel free to join in.
In case I have the time to join you lot, when would hold this & on what server (missed it, if one was chosen!)
And was a definite theme started!

Suddenly whilst skimming through Atlas park a thought struck me like a thunderbolt, a possible theme might be heroes styled and powered like the ones honoured as statues around Paragon city, you know like Atlas, Talos and that afro-girl.
Until now i personally have seen no heroes styled around them, so the theme'd be original.
The main problem about it would be that they aren't exactly in uniforms and some of their powerset's will likely require some guessing.
A very tough choice between the Badass and the UN Options but I think the Badass idea would give the group more of a unified look when all together.

Thanks for the thought Diakos, but at this stage I think we're through suggesting themes, if we kept tossing new ones in we'd never agree on one. And I'll just discount the vote for hobos seeing as that wasnt one of the three choices..

Ignore my last post I am an idiot, did not quite pick up on the narrowed down options! so this is my revised entry. In terms of the themes I would vote Miltary first, then PPD Swat and not keen on Hobo idea, I will Rank the Military next to my name in the team list.

Actully I just had a cracking thought for a name of the group/team if the military idea goes forward...

So yeah um whats happening? Im free totaly now and i think we should start getting this thing together. Military has the lead with 3 votes but i think we still need one more person for the 8 man team. We have to start deciding on a name (lol Super Troppers, it is good though), costume and team orgin.

How about we all meet up with some exisiting toons at 15:00 tomorrow (UK TIME THAT IS) under the Atlas statue. We can have a chat, deide on names/alts cosie isues etc. Then we can agree a time to all create new alts and go through the tutorial together. I will be there anyway as Lady Leprechaun so I will be easy to spot.

Spirit, shame you can't make it but don't worry, nothing is going to be decided there, after all, this team is really Wolfmans idea and we don;t know if he is going to be there. I only suggested it as a chance to meet up and a chuck a few ideas about.
Wow, talk about bad timing, my net sort of buckled a couple of days ago, went from having two computers online to no computers online, thus far I've managed to get my laptop back up and running (Which is what I use for CoH anyway)
So I think we've more or less chosen Military as our theme?
Military is straightforward enough, camo gear, tactical armourments, etc. So not much need to choose a set costume I don't think, lets people have SOME diversity.
Should we allocate AT's and powersets? I mean some stand out, Assault rifle for blasters, super strength for tanks (Super soldiers?) and reflexes etc for scrappers.
So who wants to be what, let's try and keep it neat and tidy (Not 7 tanks and a blaster) Hopefully we'll have had our first little teaming mission by the end of the week.
SideNote: If I don't reply for a day or two it'd be safe to assume I've been trying to get both computers online and have, in the process screwed up
With the powersets being fairly "natural" im assuming that Controllers might be a bit hard to implement? aside from the trick-arrow primary that is they are rather "fantastically" powered
Ok, so first informal meeting done lets see what we have come up with.
It looks as if Military is the official theme choice with an Urban/Covert unit sort of feel. It has been suggested using stealth armour for the regular troopers and something more battlesuit or tech"ish" for the Tankers and or the Controllers.
Just as Wolfman set up a list to decide themes i have been asked to start one to find peoples prefered ATS and sets. so I will start. As before, cut and paste the list whilst ading your choice.
The above ideas are all still only suggestions so please feel free to add comments/opinions one and all.

Once you have things sorted with teams and have worked out set-up for your SG let me know and I can use one of alts not in a SG to create as per yoyr spec then hand over the reigns to whoever you want
