I'd be game for a Themed Team!

Wow, from not enough people to too many. That's around 11-12 folk there I think?
Well I suggest we all cast a vote for a theme, then we have a "First come first served" type thing to decide who's in the team (Could always end up with two unified theme teams on at the exact same time of night, might mean we could split up and swap around?)

The Hobo theme is pretty fun as well, also it gives you a good excuse to charge about spouting nonsense and/or conspiracy theories

I'm usually up for this sort of thing but, sadly, the lure of Villains end-game has me in its content-tastic grip 
However, the last post might have a point.
Why not have each character as one of those 'themes'?
A pirate, a tramp, a soldier, a ninja etc. Could be fun, or at least horrifically politically incorrect 
So, sortoff a Village people theme?
Without being an outright *******... I really don't like that idea. The Village people were the LACK of a theme. Or maybe their theme was macho [censored] men... Which actually sounds more appealing in my opinion.
Although I'm not really keen on the hobo idea, I'd rather that than just "Whatever" because that just isn't a theme
The village people idea was meant as a joke.
Like i said before ill go with anything, the main factor we really have to consider is is how serious we want them, while Bobo and the clown gang is a blast the first 3 session it might get a bit tired after a while, also if we are going for a theme certain themes will limit or at the least make some powerchoices rather odd.
So to ease the vote collection ill put my vote for theme in a clearly marked box like so:

[Mutant - Good Outcasts] <- My fave's
just to really stir things up there was a themed team some time ago based on WarHammer 40K. The Imperial Rifles lasted a short while - may be a week 
but there are a couple of us do on occasion log on. My character Brother Maxim is now up to lvl 19 - might wont to search for The Imperail Rifles thread to read up on costume ideas
Um how we went from the subject of a themed Superhero team to the Village people i dont dare to ask. . .
But Seriously guys we need to have just one vote for what theme we want, if you know politics then its FPTP (First Past The Post) im afraid which means whoever gets the most votes for just one theme wins, its a screwy system but hey its current!
But anyway not to get sidetracked (please if you want to rant to me about Politics send a PM to me and i will probably not PM you back, im just using an example).

Military: Specialists (meleé, demolitions, sniper, medic ect. 8 AR/devices might get a little dull)

Been following this thread with interest, how about a Paragon police department unit?
Just off the top of my head you could have, AR/Dev Blaster - swat types, Inv/Energy Tankers - Exo suits, Empath/Psi Defenders - Psi cops?
Mutants - Sounds good to me, X-Men style?
Military - Sounds equally as good, gunsgunsguns!
Paragon Police SWAT - Again I like this idea.
Any of those three gets my vote. Sooner we agree on this the sooner we get to design costumes...
Hmm well its basically come down to like two or three. . . umm i think we should first short out who is actually going to be in the team (the original 8 and maybe another team if people still want to do this, two rival Mutant Groups, Two Military Groups (Example Bravo & Charlie) or even just two Departments of like Paragon Police although i prefer the Military idea to this gives us more. . . versatility ).
The quicker we sort out the teams, the quicker the team can decide on out final theme therefore its not just a random group of posters (no offence to the random group of posters we love you! Well not really cuz your kinda sad having thousands of posts. . .yeah. . .).
So Wolfman, care to pick the teams? You started this you might as well conclude it! You are our leader, if you was our Mutant i would call you Brother, if you were our Military i would call you Sir and if you were out hobo i would call you Ed. . . (note hobo's are not included in the choice of themes just for a quick joke. . . ha. . .ha. .. ha. . .)
Your choice mate! Then once we have the team we can all decide on the theme, but like you said first come first serve

Wow 16 people? That worked out scary good, be a pretty awesome little SG when we get to level 10.
Well I'd gladly just toss people into teams in the order they posted, but I'm not sure if they are all still interested/monitoring the thread.

Team Fortress 2 in answer to your question, it's a team based FPS made by Valve. The CoH versions are a gimmicky idea, however for me I've taken to playing my character some :E
