ok so im like TOTALY clueles whn it comes to pvp and i need yer guys help so please answer the following 1.what is the best server for pvp zones and arena 2what is the best main build for pvp(blaster,scrapper etc)3what under that arch is the best and a good buld would be help full 4any pvp tips with this build 5Whats fastest way toget him to 50 so i can pvp!!!!! THX ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Union.Especially since the French have rerolled there as it seems PvP action will step up even more.For Arena i dont know prolly Defiant and Union are good.

Depends.

Scrappers: MA/Regen,BS/Regen,Spines/Regen and the same with SR secondary are popular.

Blasters: Fire/Energy,Ice/Energy,Fire or Ice with Devices secondary and Ice/Elec are popular

Controllers: grav/sonic,ill/emp mind/storm,ill/storm,fire/rad,ill/rad,grav/rad

Defenders: Emp/* Rad/psi Rad/sonic Storm/psi Storm/sonic,Kin/elec

1. union for zones, test for arena on monday nights
2. there is no 'best' they are all good
3. heres a 'rough' idea:
blaster primary: fire, ice, elec or sonic
blaster secondary: energy, elec or devices

defender primary: empathy, rad, kin, sonic
altho all defender sets are good

controllers: same as defenders, not really a bad combination

tank primaries: fire, ice or invul
secondaries: energy, stone or super strength

scrapper primaries: spines, BS or MA
secondaries: SR or Regen

4. check boards for builds
5. PL

If you are fairly new to PvP and you plan to solo a lot i suggest start with a scrapper to get a hand of things and observe what goes on in the zones.

cud not agree with this more, i first got into pvp with my empath in the zones, practised in there any chance i got, the zones arent top level pvp but they're fun and they help u loads teaching u what ur character can or cant do and what others can do, if u practise enough and can kill ppl and stay alive in the zones ur off to a good start

It is, also better in most cases ^^

Yes regen will work better than SR for starting off in PvP.Like wise X said observe observe and try try is key to PvP to get a hand of things.

Keep an eye on PvP forum as well will be sorting out some PvP events as soon as Character transfers go live.

Also try coming to Test Server Arena nights every monday ran by KS will help you get a hand of arena pvp in a friendly environment.

Even if you get the [censored] kicked out of you, keep trying. You will get completely and totally dominated by people better than you pretty much non stop. Suck it up, don't complain and just come back for more.

And keep figuring out, thinking and asking what went wrong. Observing other peoples arena fights is also beneficial.

Basic ideas:
- Concentrate on getting single target attacks over area attacks

- concentrate on dealing damage rather than status effects (disorient, knockback, etc) at first

- starting slotting idea for attacks (for common enhancements): 2 accuracy 3 damage 1 whatever (recharge or end redux usually)

- With regen, all of the powers are useful except the last two are debatable in PVP (revive, moment of glory), and resilience doesnt need extra slotting as its taken for disorient protection rather than damage mitigation.

- 6-slot reconstruction and dull pain quick. Both 3 heal 3 recharge.

- Regen concentrates on healing or regenerating damage instead of defense/resistance. When the [censored] hits the fan, you hit dull pain + instant healing which is your god-mode instead of moment of glory. Reconstruction is also extremely important fast-recharging heal, which you use whenever the hp bar goes too low.

For pools, Id take
- hasten, superspeed
- combat jumping, superjump (you dont need acrobatics as a melee toon)
- hurdle, health, stamina (stamina not necessary as you have quick recovery but I have stamina myself, having more endurance doesnt hurt)
- the last power pool is for you to choose, but I wouldnt take fighting pool as I find tough superfluous. Maybe provoke+ intimidate if you must have a fourth pool. With intimidate you can stop escaping opponents so you can deliver the final blow.

- When fighting you move around with superspeed and leaping. Either with combat jumping or superjump active on top of superspeed.

PS:doint look at sloting that mutch more of the abbs

You might want to swap out the endrdx's in your attacks for recharge. Since you're /regen and you're taking stamina you'll probably have less trouble with endurance than if you took a different secondary. As broadsword, though, you will have trouble chaining attacks so recharge is a little more important.

PvP is all about learning. When I started playing CoH my first character was a controller. Controllers are great fun but my illusion/kinetics was easy meat in PvP zones. My second level 50 was a master mind, now these are extremely tricky to play in PvP zones, but I found after hours and hours of practice and seeing how people played I finally got the knack of it. I have now just rolled a storm/elec defender. I know electric is not the best support power for PvP but he will look the bomb running around with his little sentinel following him lol.

Its all about learning, and don’t get me wrong it can get very frustrating. But just take it in your stride and it will only make you a better PvP’er

i'd say thats fighting talk and challenge u but the PDs wudn't show up

after all we did beat vigilance 73-1 and 51-1 in 8v8 on monday

admittedly tho they beat us in the recent 16man matches
