Ice has a great attack chain from Ice Blast, Ice Bolt and Bitter Ice Blast, can't really comment on the usefulness of Fire secondary in PvP, as I don't have any of those, but I'll vouch for the Primary.

Again very nice combination, Dark suffers from the fact that Tar Patch is placeable, but it's not a horrible defect. Psi's bad side is that it doesn't have an Aim-type power in it. But beyond those, both the primary and the secondary are wonderful.

SR scrappers are eaten alive in Warburg by blasters, but as Villains don't have that much +tohit, they have better shot at RV. Katana's downside is the lack of non-S/L damage and range, but it's a nice and fast combo.

Again, Dark is great fun, and fire works in great synergy with that. Sadly, they work a bit better in PvE than in PvP when put together, but I can't see this combination being inherently bad in any way.

Electric Armor is pretty popular and Dark offers good crowd control ability. I don't have personal experience, but I've seen these around and they look quite good.
My biased 0-10 scale on the toons:
Invun/SS 8
Ice/Fire 9
Dark/Psi 8
Kat/SR 7
Nin^2 0
Fire/Dark 7
Dark/Elec 9
I'd probably use the Blaster or the Brute myself, but all of them are pretty good combos, some bit more beginner-friendly than others and have strengths and weaknesses built in them. The Kat/SR for example has to have a damn tight build to work well in PvP, Inv/SS is all fun and games until you run into a contoller or a dominator or something like them, etc.

Exactly that. You dont need anyone to tell you what to make.Imho anything you choose with a little experience you can turn it into a decent and fun pvp toon.With sets it can be even more than that. Sure some builds are stronger than others but they require just as much effort to play and make em look good.
I would try the ice/fire maybe due to the diverse sets you can get in and you can round it up to be a pretty nice toon.

Just a comment about the blaster, i have in every way tried to get my fire/fire blaster good in pvp, but the fire secondary is so lacking in damage compared to em or elec, only thing u will find usefull is firesword basicly, maybe ring of fire to imob the foe you are facing. Belive me, i have wasted about 3-4 respecs now to get him closer to the uber blaster builds such as Ice/em or elec, or Fire/em or elec. 
But its fun tho, its a challange to get the kill in with the fire secondary lol.

/Fire isn't that gimped, Fire Sword Circle hits hardish and hasn't got too bad of an animation and Fire Sword is pretty damn sexy.
I have just made a fire/fire brute which for fun I intend to make work in pvp. The Fire primary of brutes seems at a glance be loads better for pvp than fire secondary of blasters. Which is kinda shame.
I think that blasters fire secondarys best attacks would be fire sword and fire sword circle (which hits hard despite being a PBAoE). Ring of fire may also be useful.
Ring of Fire is now -Fly, so yeah, it's pretty handy.
Fire Melee Brutes seem to be more or less single target if i remember right, at least, compared to Tank and Blaster versions.
They've got creamate instead of combustion i think creamte has equal damage to bonesmasher

Fire Sword, Scorch, Cremate, Build Up, Incinerate, Breath of Fire, Fire Sword circle, Greater Fire Sword.

Ive been looking at doing a PvP toon for some time and now the time has come
im looking to do PvP in SC, WB and RV
and i was wondering other than a stalker what u guys would think of these build (no sets done yet)
