Inv/Ice Build, help needed

Hi,
I'm fairly new to tanking, so I'd like your suggestion on how to slot my Inv/Ice one (currently level 15).

Any advise would be appreciated, since I feel like I might have done my share of mistakes being - as I told - new to tanking...

Hi Rush,
I have a few points about the Inv slotting. Ice melee I have never used though.

Temp Invuln: I'm not sure you will need that extra End-Red IO.
The Impervium set you have planned should have enough in there as is.

Unyielding: Dito, you don't need 3 end-reds here. 3 res, 1 end red would do.

Health: Chuck an extra Heal IO or two in here as well as the uniques. Health does give a good regen boost and is worth upgrading IMO.

Invincibility: Swap one of those End-Reds for a defense IO.
It isn't that costly a toggle and the extra defense is handy.

Build Up: Not sure you need this really? Are you aiming to do good damage or be more defensive?
As far as I know /Ice is not that good damage wise.

Resist Elements: Knockback protection IO?
Skip it. Unyielding gives excellent protection as is, you don't need more.

Unstoppable: You don't need all the res here. 1 Resistance IO should send all resistances to the cap. 3 is overkill

Thanks a lot moog, as I supposed I made lots of slotting mistakes

I will follow your suggestions (I'll only wait to swap the end reds in the toggles after I get stamina!).

The KB protection IO is really there only to complete the set and get the additional defense against PSI.

As for build-up, is more than anything a filler. I know Ice isn't very damaging (it has good damage mitigation thanks to the -recharge effects and ice patch, so it's more for the added defense than for dealing damage), still I thought it might be useful to take it a bit higher. If you have any suggestion to swap this power with another, I'll gladly take it

That gives a bonus defense to all and you don't actually need any of the others to get it.
The only extra bonus having all three is an extra 1.5% life.

Oh, thanks! I didn't notice that the +3% PSI bonus came all from a single enhancement, and not from the combination of all 3. Then I can take that KBP out!

At 15 id of come up with a SO build.

If I had an Invuln/Ice itll be highly def based with aid self unless concept won ofc.

Thanks Shannon - I might take aid self, but what do you suggest I take out? I need to find two spaces to fit in that and Aid Other or Stimulant. Do you see any non-useful powers in my build?

I see -&gt; 0 &lt;- non useful powers. You can chuck Frozen Aura in there and Id still say the same, I'm even less help than ever before tbh XD . I think when levelling up you determine your weaknesses, and a large part of your weaknesses come from how you may play or get to play and who with. There is no win win. Ice melee gives out nice active defense meaning less attacks come your way. Id decide on a travel power though and stick with it grounded or flight doesnt matter too much but Id be tempted with being grounded as Ice melee is a rather grounded set. Also Rel is easily missed with using Aid self instead and time for aid self is easily had with Ice melee but put aggro control via taunt or controls first is all.
