Ok, if I'm reading your post right, there's two players here, and you've both just got your first Protector bot, yeah?
If that's the case, it' all working as intended, I'm afraid. Protector bots will bubble other pets and their master, but not other players. There's no way around this.
If it makes you feel any better, once you get your second PB, you'll get double bubbled (but not quad bubbled).
If my initial assumption was wrong, erm, write back.

They can only bubble you once, even when you get both Prot-bots only one will bubble you at a time.
This seems to be by design.
This they changed a while back, in the same patch the protector bots stopped bubbling other master minds pet (not of yourself). And if I'm not mistaken they even bubbled up every other player in the team.
I guess that was deemed a bit overpowered so the pulled it back to the way it is now. Though I miss my double bubble 
Recently we've advanced our controls to activate the 2nd Protector Bot, and noticed quickly something a bit odd. With the 2 PB's summoned they will happily stack/double shield the 3 Battle Drones, but won't do the same to me. We've tried a few ideas but nothing has worked so far, only ever the single shiny shield ball.
Is there a way to get the Protection Twins to double up the player shielding? Is there a reason as to why they don't seem to want to do it automatically? The Drones are getting some hellish sheilding (double slotted defense SO's X2, nice!), it would be good to be able to use them too.
We can't seem to find a mention of this in the guides, so hopefully someone has come across this beofre and can tell us if we're doing something wrong or there's a bug etc etc.
