Elec/Fire?

Hi.

I have a L50 Elec/Fire Blaster with a build that probably needs revising.. However, I'm still quite new, and not very good at builds :P Therefore I was wondering if people here would be as nice as to give me some advice on powers and slotting for an Elec/Fire. Thank you.

Iirc superspeed hits the speed cap with 2 green SOs (or is at least very close to it) so theres one slot too many there I think. Same goes for fly, 2 speed is enough. 3rd for end redux if you want.

As for other opinions,

Fire sword circle is great imo, worth 6 slots.

Get snow storm instead of flash freeze, its more useful in my opinion.

I wouldnt slot frozen armor for resistance, as its only for one damage type (cold) essentially.

Id always slot build up for 3 recharge first. The end redux is particularly useless there.

Well.. I would always put 3 damage in the attacks if they are meant for doing damage.. Going for some IO sets would also be good.

Propably more to say but enough for now.

Fly he can swap the 3rd slot with a end/fly of the other fly set, makes it more even.

Agree on the damage, 3 slot is best for basicly any blaster attack. Ditch 2 slots (the resist) from frozen armor and put them either in hibernate (heal/endmod) and 1 for hasten (3slot recharge it - every second counts).
Consume, swap dmg for recharge, endred for endmod.iirc consume is equal to fire tanker, so it has a ToHit. Either use it with Aim/BU or add a acc to it.

It seems u go alot for 2 slot IO, as it hits near ED.
although i would say, move 1 slot for health to stamina, 3 slot it endmod.

And is it me, or u dont have Aim?

First of all, thanks for responding :P

I figured I don't really need the range enhancements, as I don't stand very far back anyway (with 3 PBAoEs)..
Also the EndRed ones I probably don't need, as the only way I run out of (or even run low on) Endurance, is if I Nova. And while we're first on that, should I really put another slot in Stamina then? Will I need that if I get rid of the EndReds?

Frozen Armor has resistance to both cold and fire, doesn't it? And Hibernation usually gets me right back at full already the way it's slotted now..

On the Flight enhancements, I didn't really understand what you meant.. Could you please rephrase?

Is Snow Storm very good? How "strong" is it?

And no, I don't have Aim.. Is it really that useful?

Aim+BU = way stronger nova. (aim does 60ish% dmg buff). The 100% acc is very handy to have.

I asume you are familair with ED, sort of enhancement cap on powers wich kicks in at just below 90% bonus (or 60% with resist/defence etc). As IO (iirc) give 41% you hit 82% wich is 8% below the ED-cap. Some cases that final 10% is worth having, specialy on hasten it makes a few seconds difference. 10% on Stamina isnt that uber much, but all bits help

Snowstorm is a toggle on a mob, with a quite big AoE. It does base -50% recharge/slow, although somewhat end-heavy toggle. My blaster has the full Ice set, flash freeze is pretty good if you solo.

The resist to ice/fire is very lowish, the chance you face alot ice/fire damage is fairly small. Main goal is the defence to SL.

Running low on end, you have consume. After Nova u have 10sec -1000% recovery so just pop a blue and hit consume on remaining mobs. Also elec has little drain effect (chance to ), wich makes the EndReds less usefull (specialy on low end using powers).

For the flight, it also has ED thing. So basicly getting 2 IO's is enough already, to counter endurance usage put 1 Endred IO. You hit cap with those now slotted, swap the last fly IO with another (of another set) End/Fly IO. This way its more balanced and somewhat more efficient.

I say either Fire Sword or Lighting bolts (the low dmg one isit?).

once u get into melee u can do ball lightning, short circuit, fire circle, combution, consume aaaaand do that again

I'd say keep firesword, I delayed it a lot in my build to find it being better than any of my ST blasts (am Ice though not elec)
