There's Union Chat which was created to stop people chatting randomly on Union Badgehunters but people tend not to use it unless they're chatting on UBH and get 'told off' for chatting about anything other than badges.
In my experience, most of the global channels are a waste of time. I've tried numerous times to find a team on LFT (never even seen another person type on there) and get information about auctions on Union Auctioners but it's still very quiet so I just stick to UBH.
Just though I'd try Union as most of my characters are Defiant but I have to say that your Broadcast channel in Atlas is abysmal. Seems that the place is full of 10 year olds and does not do the game any favours at all. I never had to hide broadcast on Defiant but sadly on Union it seems to be a must.

B.A.F. Trial Guide
Actually I like Union Badgehunters, I have played mostly in Defiant but now I am working on a couple toons in Union so I joined Union Badgehunters channel and it is a very friendly and helpful channel.
Been playing a couple of weeks now and there doesn't seem to be any of the general chit-chat going on in the chat channels. Sometimes there seems to be half a conversation going on in the Broadcast channel. Is there a global chat channel that I'm not on ?
