ok so.... anyone there?
Hey Stranger. Let us know what your Global is or at least what your character names is (Sisc0?). I'm sure there are people floating around who can help you out...we just don't know how to contact you on the Rogue Isle with what the info you've given us.
oh and hi!

heh, feeling kinda stupid now....
anyway my ingame name is Mr. Awesome im mostly on in the evening hours gmt +1
Hey Sisc0. I would advise that the best thing you could do would be to try and join an active supergroup, that way you will get to meet a large group of people. There are some super groups that have threads in the section of the boards. Maybe try posting there.
Also you could try joining some pick up groups (PuGs), i find that that is the best way of meeting people. Find someone you like and add them to your global friends list.
It can be hard to find teams sometimes on cov. I usually do a search for players at my lvl range. The player names that are "greyed out" are the ones that are already in a team. Try sending out some tells to these players letting them know what AT your playing, your level and that you're looking for a team. Works for me.

It's actually amazing the amount of players who don't know about this, often when I'm in a team I'll get others trying to recruit me for their teams (and yes they are already in teams and trying to get me to join)... either that or there's some competitive recruiting going on...
Anyway, I'll try keep an eye open for you Sisc0, see if I've a suitable toon and can team with you for a bit.
Hey Sisco, I too have a look out for you. I know many from my supergroup have created new toons and so got a very mixed range including some around your level. I am trying to catch up with some of those that are on everyday (damn that double xp) but just can't make my mind up with what I want to level.
Some of the advice given is well worth taking on board. Good luck and maybe see you soon.

correction: Mr. Awesomo
sorry about that, im looking forward to seeing any of you ingame. thanks alot!
Lol, I did look for a Mr. Awesome last night but couldn't send them a message when I tried so assumed you weren't on.
Over 80% of the gaming population probably sit around or solo waiting for some one to talk to them or for someone else to make the team. When i first started you could find 8 lvl10s standing at the gates of Hollows (CoH) not talking to eachother, all waiting for one of the other people to try and make a team. Sadly whatever server you go on its the same.
"Nobody talks to me"
"Did you try talking to them?"
"No"
"...."
He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.
Fortunately this leaves 20% of the gaming population without a /tell-phobia...
By the way: When I logged my villain after our longish chat the other night I immediately received a /tell by a level 6 MM who was looking for someone to show him the ropes in CoV... Well, no xp for me that night.
Always remember, kids: If you talk to the strange man first you have the upper hand, right?
If it has eyes, you can blind it, if it has blood, you can make it bleed, if it has a mouth, you can make it scream.
As a relative newbie myself... I can see where the "tell-phobia" comes from.
I've found people in Pocket D and PvP zones mostly cool... Pocket D people are mostly friendly RPers and PvP zoners are usually competitive but mostly honourable.
I find people leveling, teaming and soloing to be quite rude. It's amazing how many people just don't reply when you ask them if they want to join a group. A simple "No thank you" would suffice... but literally 60-70% don't even reply on both CoH AND CoV.
This is the only game I've experienced this happening, perhaps I'm just unlucky... or maybe levelers are anti-social, I don't know.. But I've found it a huge annoyance when trying to make a team.
Please people! Reply to polite team requests! Even if you don't want to join the team, dignify their question with an answer..

Please bear in mind that not all of these people will be being rude. Some might be afk, others might miss the tell (it happens to me sometimes as I don't play with sound on), they might be a member of a few busy channels and miss your tell. There are many reasons why someone might not reply, one of which could certainly be that they are rude
I agree with the fact that most don't reply to tells mainly because they receive many random tells that are annoying. My main regularly gets tells of people begging for PL or to join an RSF. I know this got on my nerves so much I added that I wasn't interested in either to the search term (and I still get them).
That said if its a polite or general tell I will always reply if I can. But the most common form of non-response to a tell is that I am too busy fighting for my life to reply to someone asking if they can join my team lol
But I agree that many just put on the blinkers and don't look at people they don't know. Although I know that everyone I know endeavours to answer tells as best as possible as it just makes it at least more courteous for everyone.
Usually I'll reply, have even gotten compliments on it from people who were sick of not getting responses, might be times where I miss the tell or am in the middle of a big battle and forget about it by the end of the battle and only remember after finishing the mission.
Often the tells seem to come at the worst times (when I'm mid-mission or getting ready to quit), but even then I'll let the person know and at least wish them good luck. Only polite and friendly and it's not like that typing takes much effort.
ok ever since ive started playing i havent talked to one person ingame (lvl 17 now) this kinda makes it hard for me to get arround since i dont know whats going on. what things i can do or how stuff works. so im kinda looking for some people that actualy are online daily and are willing to group up and have some fun, being alone all the time sucks and doesnt really make this game more fun...
so im looking for active lower lvl players that are willing to go with me, have some fun and make the game more fun.
if anyones intrested please let me know im starting to get desparate ;o
