Another n00b Warshade
*waves with various purple tentacles*
Welcome to the club and have fun! The Purple Flying Fortress of Doom is one of the greatest experiences you can have hero-side.
If it has eyes, you can blind it, if it has blood, you can make it bleed, if it has a mouth, you can make it scream.
I was on a team a few days ago. They wouldnt allow a warshade (or any kheld) onto the team as the leader said they are "poor".
I find my warshade very powerful and amazing in teams with all the AOE goodness (and later some light controlly powers). I hate all the "ws.. noooo they are rubbish" people around. Give WS a chance!!

Well, WSs are one of the more challenging ATs to play. If you unleash their full potential they are devastating to the opposition. But if the most complicated AT you can think of is a scrapper you are more likely to be devastating to your own team.
So, the team leader you mentioned had perhaps only met players of the latter kind and no first-hand-experience at all or he was told that they were no good and just tries to be a good parrot or he had tried them and failed miserably. In any case he was probably a n00b judging them based on his own shortcomings.

Can't even imagin how many times i've gone into an out-door "defeat all + AV", like that nasty Defeat Mother Mayhem and everyone else on the map. With the right team, it can be swift and painless, but if you add a WS into the gang... He can pretty much solo every minion and LT in 2 attacks, and clean up the bosses in 10 seconds or so, moving on to the next mob with full end and HP :P
However, it's a skill hard to master, as they say, so you should play every level of a WS, even if it can get a bit slow - it pays off.
@Double
Double Flame 50 fire/devices
Double Shade 50 tri-form warshade
Double Light 50 dwarf-human peacebringer
Double Control 50 earth/rad
Well, warshade builds are easy to mess up and hard to play.
I can immagine lots of peeps mess it up or don't think about how to play. I've had some pretty stupid warshades in my team i can tell ya that.
However, when one comes along that has a good build and does know how to play it... cheats i tell ya, CHEATS!
edit: oh yeh, welcome to a world of sillyness Stormdancer, flying squids and stomping lobsters await you!
Thanks guys
I've got to 'Hastened Squid' already and loving it.
Starting to learn to spot Quantams/Voids at extreme range too! They ouchie.
Hit 50 for the first time last night, so I'm gonna try a warshade. Been reading up in this forum and the yank one. Looks fun.
AoE flying doom for me.
