Use the herobuilder to do an attack chain that you "might" use and see where most of your endurance loss is coming from just to be sure about slotting end in toggles over attacks. I actually find icepatch a bit of a culprit an all. Otherwise i think you have thought about it although i would haste ss it to fit in more S/L shield powers earlier either and more hp more often and a heal more often and then respec into fly about 24 after you have icepatch. Bit like superman superspeeding before flying.

I found Energy - and Elemental Protection very usefull.
Okay not much Resistance, but i am sure it helps you more the Boxing and Tough.

Mainly went for tough because S/L is common all through the game....so get as much resistance to that as poss, a lot of people choose Aid Self over tough and passives...but i hate the animation.

Youre right S/L is most common, but what helps you that if some sweet Energy and Elemental Attack who comes over your Defense kill you nearly Instant because of no Resistance

I have a experience of a lvl 50 inv./ice tank.

Would suggest 1 recharge & 1 end rdx in ice patch is all you need unless you have had your recharge times reduced by the enemy. Saving a slot to go elsewhere.

Also unstoppable only needs 1 damage resist to hit the cap if you continue running your other shields. I would personally remove 2 damage resist from it & put the 2 slots in frost which is 1 of the sets better attacks.

Personally I selected freezing touch (FT) rather than GIS. It is often useful in the later game for holding sappers. Whilst GIS provides the sets largest burst damage attack, trials with ice melee in the US has suggested that because of the long animation time on GIS it actually slows down the damage output on the ice melee set. It has been suggested that using boxing, frost & freezing touch provides more damage per second than including either ice sword in the attack chain.

I would suggest dropping RPD and taking weave. You are going to have good resistance to S/L damage from TI & tough. Weave will give extra defense against all attacks rather than just the s/l resist provided by RPD.

Hope this helps.

he does have unyielding which provides resistance to both of them, and he will have the defense buff from invinc too, he also has dull pain for a huge HP boost, so i wouldnt say he has "no resistance/defence"

iirc, the only pure energy attacks in the game are anti-matter's silver robot things (and they do -def attacks.. yipee!!) All other energy attacks have both an s/l and an energy component. the number of similar lvl enemies which could do 3k's worth of energy/elemental damage is very small, i.e. none afaik (maybe some random av/gm.. but none that i recall meeting)

Yeah, with invuln some baddies are a bit more 'fun', such as nemesis with vengeance up.. but tbh you're better building towards s/l in the long run.

Having said all that however, i will be getting resist energies for my invuln in the 40s.. purely on the off chance that i happen to accidentally encounter a couple of freakshow... ...ya know, just incase...

i actually meant that the praetorians exclusively use pure energy attacks.. from my recollection they only use irradiate when in melee, and an energy blast in melee or ranged. don't know if that's correct or not, but i never recall seeing them melee other than irradiate

apologies if that seemed misleading. all other energy using enemies (freaks, clocks etc..) have pure energy blasts, but use melee attacks when in melee range.. which if you're an inv/ice tank, they should be for 90% of the time imo.
