Stealth + Hide = Tactics proof?
targetting drone, tactics, yellows and goggles all give +perc. Other powers give -stealth so plenty of ways to get there.
Mind of Gaia lvl 50 Defiant's first Mind/Storm 'troller.
Deadly Doc 50 Dark/Dark Corr
and lots more on Pinnacle,Union and Defiant
Yep stealth/per is an arms race and theres plenty of ppl out there with enough per to see through just hide+stealth so don't be surprised if you get seen.
The answer is to get more +stealth either from invis or grant invis.
Defiant's GoEH/MILITIS METUS
I can see Hidden + Stealthed Stalkers with my Blaster through Targeting Done and Tactics both running, although I have to be pretty close. From a Stealth thread I remember TD/Tactics just being over the Hide/Stealth concealment value.
Hide + Invisibility I'm not sure anyone could see through bar someone using yellows on top on + perception powers, but since you have to turn it off to attack it's only really useful for staying very hidden until you jump someone with a critical and such.

Bit of a Bump, but here's as good a place as any to post this overview:
*** [u]Stealth Caps in feet:[u] ***
@25: 968 (Stalker) 484.0 (Non Stalker) - Bloody Bay
@30: 1003 (Stalker) 501.5 (Non Stalker) - Siren's Call
@38: 1059 (Stalker) 529.5 (Non Stalker) - Warburg
@50: 1143 (Stalker) 571.5 (Non Stalker) - Recluse's Victory
The Perception cap is always Stalker Stealth Cap +10 feet.
*** [u]Stalker Stealth Power Buffs in feet:[u] ***
-500 feet (Stalker Hide)
-389 feet (Most "Stealth" powers including Concealment Pool Stealth)
-611 feet (Concealment Pool Invisibility and Grant Invisibility)
-222 feet (Concealment Pool Phase Shift)
-389 feet (The new i9 travel power "+Stealth" IOs)
Note that all Stealth apart from Hide will suppress if the Stalker is debuffed.
Most forms of Stealth do NOT stack. Hide, Phase Shift, Grant Invis and the new Stealth IO are exceptions.
For example the Pool Power "Stealth" will not stack with dark's "Shadowfall", or the Pool Power "Invisibility".
However Stealth can be Stacked with Hide, Phase Shift, the new Stealth IO and/or Grant Invisibility.
*** [u]Perception values:[u] ***
+ Normal inherent "Perception" range is 500 Feet.
+ Powerset Self-Perception Buffs except Tactics all give +300 feet.
+ Clear Mind and Clarity buffs vary by level, but two applications will always hit the perception cap.
[u]Tactics Value buffs in feet:[u]
+ 172.2 (Blaster/Tanker/Scrapper, Bloody Bay)
+ 186.2 (Blaster/Tanker/Scrapper, Siren's Call)
+ 208.6 (Blaster/Tanker/Scrapper, Warburg)
+ 242.2 (Blaster/Tanker/Scrapper, Recluse's Victory)
+ 307.5 (Defender, Bloody Bay)
+ 332.5 (Defender, Siren's Call)
+ 372.5 (Defender, Warburg)
+ 432.5 (Defender, Recluse's Victory)
+ 246.0 (Controller, Bloody Bay)
+ 266.0 (Controller, Siren's Call)
+ 298.0 (Controller, Warburg)
+ 346.0 (Controller, Recluse's Victory)
+ 221.4 (Kheldian, Bloody Bay)
+ 239.4 (Kheldian, Siren's Call)
+ 268.2 (Kheldian, Warburg)
+ 311.4 (Kheldian, Recluse's Victory)
[u]What does this mean?[u]
Stalker Hide + Stealth is -889 Feet, and can attack.
Stalker Hide + Invis is -1111 Feet, but can't attack.
Stalker Hide + Stealth + New IO is -1278 Feet, and can attack.
+ Stalkers can never hit the Stealth Cap with just Hide + Stealth in any PvP zone.
+ Tactics plus a Powerset +Perc ability will ALWAYS see through Hide + Stealth.
+ Tactics plus Powerset +Perc will ALWAYS see through Hide + Invis for Warshades (only by 0.4 feet in RV!).
+ Tactics plus Powerset +Perc will ONLY see through Hide + Invis in Bloody Bay for Scrappers/Tanks/Blasters.
+ Two layers of Blaster/Tanker/Scrapper Tactics will not see through Hide + Stealth until above level 32.
+ Tactics by itself will only see through Stealth when used by a Defender, at level 42 and above.
+ Stalkers that use Hide + Stealth + a Stealth IO will ALWAYS be at the stealth cap unless suppressed.
[u]Who can hit the Perception Cap without extra buffs?[u]
+ In Bloody Bay, Tankers/Scrappers/Blasters/Warshades with Tactics and +Perc from their Secondary.
+ In Siren's Call, only a Warshade with Tactics and a +Perc Power from their Secondary.
+ In Warburg, only a Warshade with Tactics and a +Perc Power from their Secondary.
+ In RV, only Tankers/Scrappers with Tactics, +Perc from their Secondary plus Focused Accuracy.
It's also worth noting that the only -Stealth power available to heroes is "Arctic Air" from the Controller's Ice Primary. This is a 20 foot radius PBAoE, which reduces enemy Stealth by 389 Feet AS WELL as suppressing all forms of Stalker Stealth apart from "Hide" due to an Autohit Debuff/Mez.
A Stalker can also be revealed by Autohit PBAoE debuffs such as Hurricane or Chilling Embrace, providing that there is at least ONE +perception buff in effect to see through "Hide". However usually the radius of Autohit debuff Auras is only 10 Feet, so there is no combination that will beat "Arctic Air" for effectiveness.
Any binds out there for automatically turning invis off when an attack is activated. Would really help cut down valuable seconds when attacking

Not true. Debuffs dont reveal stalkers anymore.

I use my stealth bind which automatically detoggles invis. You could of course use same bind as you use to trigger invis.

Debuffs still drop every single +stealth power except hide. Therefore a stalker under the influence of an autohit debuff will only be able to attain a stealth of -500 feet (just outside the limit of "Base Perception").
An example would be an Ice Tanker running Chilling Embrace and with Ice's +Perception Armor. It'll see any stalker within 10 feet, because the Autohit slow drops everything but "Hide", and the +Perception beats Hide.
we better test this, although I suspect the problem for me is to know when exactly the other stealth powers are nonfunctional.
Update: Bridger has recently confirmed that +stealth is one of the few IO special bonuses NOT affected by exemplaring.
This means a level 50 Stalker can pickup a level 50 +stealth IO and still get full use of it in Bloody Bay.
Hide+Stealth+Stealth IO = stealth cap and you are able to attack unlike if you had invis running.
This is of great benefit in pvp for stalkers. Ive already tested this combo in Warburg and RV and can confirmed that not one player could see me until I attacked first, even standing next to them

I made a bind on my stalker that toggles between stealth and invis.
/bind v "powexec_name Stealth$$powexec_name Invisibility"
put any key u want i just used V on my stalker.
when u hit the key u will switch to either invis or stealth depending on which is active at the time u pressed the button.

I think this was probably an unintended effect as it now makes invisibility obselete - and invisibility had that "can't attack" penalty for a good reason because it gave players a sporting chance - now it's simply too easy for stalkers to stay perma invisible to anyone that doesn't carry around loads of yellow inspirations...
Pfft! Prug you've nailed me many times with your Scrapper whilst I have Hide + Invisability on. Or was that a combo of Super Reflexes, Tactics and a few yellows?

cant remember probably yellows
Surely being truly undetectable is and should be the point of being a Stalker. It doesnt make stalkers overpowered in PvP just evens them up with everyone else
they can already 2 shot anything except a scrapper or tanker and you're saying they should be able to do this without even being able to be seen or targeted? as it is most PVP villains are stalkers and it's for a good reason...
Believe it or not, my Stalker was meant for PvE! But a quick Respec balanced that out. It is true that Stalkers have the advantage of being un-seen in a PvE zone but that is the point of the Archetype to begin with so furthering your ability to be un-seen advances it. But there are ways around it so I think it is equally balanced... sorta :-\

Today I was in Siren's Call and like most Stalkers these days I had Hide AND Stealth on. I have heard that this combo is enough to make you not be seen by those who use Tactics to seek out Stalkers who don't have Stealth, just Hide. I was teaming with someone who was in the zone at the time and we were both way-laid by a Blaster. We both had Stealth and Hide yet he could see us. Is there some way that the Blaster could have seen through the combo of Hide + Stealth or is it not really that effective after all?
I was just wondering since I am new to PvP and was a little shocked by what happened. Thank you in advance for any replies.
