After about 1 year I have decided to go back to Villains and for concept reasons, the only powers I could use for my brute is:
Primary: Super Strength/Energy/Electric
Secondary: Invulnerability/Energy/Electric
So, what are the pro's/con's with these powers and how are they in PvE/PvP?

energy/ is THE abusive brute's set. The highest damages, the energy part of these damages is not very resisted, and a stun which is almost unresistable (3-4 attacks are enough to overcome the most of protections). But it will maybe be nerfed in the futur...
SS is more resisted, but it does also a lot of damages and has got a precision bonus, due to perma-rage.
elec/ does much less damages (notv ery resisted, though) but drains endurance (and this effect is not very resisted in the game).

/invul : great resistance againt smash/lethal, poor resistance against other damages, great Self Heal. Good in pvp against heroes (the most of scrappers do smash/lethal damages), bad against villains (the most of brutes do energy damages)
/energy : a defensive set, very very bad in pvp, where a lot of heroes and villains have precision bonus. And without self seal. The only good part of the set are the +end powers.
/elec : great resistance against energy, but no self heal. And no resistance against toxic. +end powers, and a +rech + speed power. Rather interesting in pvp against villains (who are often energy/), but somme heroes can be very dangerous (spines/ scrappers).

The most popular combo among pvp brutes is energy/elec. Don't expect to be original, if you choose it

In pve, all brute's set are good, if you play them well.
