I have a fellow friend who is a spine/sr which is simular to nin and he does torture the CALL
If u need build advice give me a shout.
I dont agree on it being a good build for pvp 
If you want to PvP rather go for Energy/Ninjitsu oder Energy/SR!
Spine/nin Spine/SR is just as effective in pvp as EM/.
I kno this due playin with both AT and was impressed with both in pvp.
Its all about tactic's now currenly making a another pvp build of dark/dark stalker.
It's not, basically because spines is lethal damage (highly resisted), spines BI is inferior to EM, and spines' immob cant compare to EM's stuns. Besides, EM animations are way faster than spines one

Spines in my eye is a darkhorse and cant be very effective just takes creative thinking.
Em/ is just a fotm atm. which is a shame due to me making mine about 7 months ago now everyone seems to have them but with meh builds.
Raw damage is nice but so is -flys toxic's and range attacks.
I am talking from the fact of having a EM/SR stalker made for pvp
IF were talking pvp btw energy is also highy resisted due to most ppl's pvp build will try to encorprate resistants or deffence against energy.
I love Spines/Nin so far. You can bring flying targets down with impale, then placate and AS them. You can get Blinding powder (Confuse) which is pretty useful in pvp imo. A Pbaoe placate which i enjoy too. The bad side is the lack of KB res. You can always get Acrobatics since your Spines powers wont be many ( Impale AS till 18), You have a heal and caltrops. From people i have seen they can kill things fast with this build, mostly Impale + AS. The damage is lethal but the toxic Dot is the killer. In my opinion it works in zones really good.
But remember the most important thing with a toon is that you enjoy it. If you dont enjoy it dont make it.

I also have an EM and a Spines stalker, and wereas spines is fun in sirens, it's not that much in high level pvp. Energy is no way as resisted as lethal. In fact, very few squishies can have any time of energy resist, but all of them got 40% lethal dmg resistance, which is the key.
Spines was useful way back when debuffs broke hide, cos of impale, but now that they don't anymore, and impale itself has been crippled, I really dont see how spines can cope a comparison to EM or dark, for instance
Worth mentioning not all PvP happens at lvl 50 in the Arena and Spines/Ninjitsu is awesome until squishy shields, and EM isnt much good in outdoor maps as we found out last night

I think he's trying to get off on the technicality that 'good' is a very subjective word, when infact it is clear cut to me + Phil.
