Some Bots/Traps advice

Hi Guys
Got my Bots to lvl 22 and i have Stamina/Health and Swift which i think i'm not needing. No Stamina problems just now (possibly because i have Stamina ) and i'm thinking 3 new powers would be more benefical.

Avoiding toggles like Tactics and Maneuvers since i'm dropping Stamina i thought Stealth for the purpose of placeing traps would be a good idea? . I don't have Acid Morter just now , i have no idea what it does and wether it's a useful power or not? I'm also lacking Aid other and Aid Self just now which unfortunatly makes 4 powers i think i can really use.

I do have Web Grenade,Caltrops and Poison trappy thingie which is a real hoot just now.

Any advise appreciated as usual.

I have aid other and aid self on my bots traps and the aid other acts like a faster rechg repair and the aid self is always handy. Id not be without them two as it keeps downtime down, setting up to a minimum and aids other people when needed. Plus the tricorders are basically another gadget .

Get FF gen, it's great def and mez resistance! (Stacks with bot bubbles)

And acid mortar is a damage must too, lowers enemy damage resistance! VERY handy. Plus people often use it to 'tank'.

Acid Mortar is indeed a very, very good power that can do alot for you. Lowers enemy defence and resistance to damage, can take an alpha, draw aggro and it will continue to fire on units that have lowered your perception

Forcefield Gen is another 'must' (I hate seeing that word banded about the forums but its true this time ) have pick. Decent defence unslotted, 3 slotted for defence is all you need with stamina really. Will stack with the bubble thing the Protector bot gives you.

Not sure Aid Self is really required as I find Triage Beacon combined with the other trap powers + bots do enough to keep the MM alive.

Grant Invis however and the other stealth power pool powers could be handy. Grant Invis the FF Gen and you could use the old SS/Stealth combo to lay the mines ect and have Phase for those panic moments.

TP Foe is also very, very deadly with the traps Tho it could wait till say level 30 since the mines arent till 35.

Sadly the FFG seems to resist grant Invisiblity, never seems to work for me.

I'd say the gems of the set are Acid Mortar, Posion trap and FFG. Posion trap is rediculously good as a large AoE hold, makes me feel like a Dominator at times

Sadly the FFG seems to resist grant Invisiblity, never seems to work for me.

I'd say the gems of the set are Acid Mortar, Posion trap and FFG. Posion trap is rediculously good as a large AoE hold, makes me feel like a Dominator at times

Poison Gas Trap is also a pretty MASSIVE regen debuff (nofuture claims -1000% regen) and against humanoid AV's can get a pseudohold (vomiting) to apply through the purple triangles of doom.

The only problem with it being that you risk being smeared all over the floor and walls getting in close enough to place it by a stray AoE, if the AV in question has been immobilised or otherwise won't play nice and be kited over it.

That said though, it's not as essential for a Bots/traps MM, as the Assault bot comes with a couple of hefty -regen debuffs built in, with both the single and dual plasma blast slapping a pretty hefty magnitude and duration -regen debuff on the target. (-500% regen each and 30 second duration each, according to nofuture)

Other than that, if you don't already have FFG, then for the love of grud, take it now, slap 3 def buffs into it and keep it active at all times. Immob, Hold and disorient protection that costs no endurance other than a one off summoning cost and wtays on even if you *do* get mezzed? Yes please!
