Where's the legal line? If any?
I believe so, yes.
If I remember rightly the EULA states that all the characters and likenesses belong to Cryptic or NCsoft, so that stops you using them if you went to work for DC Comics, say.
Dunno how it works if you deleted the toon though
We built this city on Rock and Roll!

I think you can use them if it's in a non-profit manner. Maybe, it's all a bit complicated y'see.
From my understanding and IANAL, the character you create here is legally licensed to Cryptic; so that any money made from that character is directly attributable to Cryptic.
However
This only includes the likeness as it is rendered in CoH or V; as otherwise you would be breaking the EULA to have an evil/good version of the character; so writing about your character is still valid for profit making as long as you don't include the likeness of the character as seen in game.
Likeness, however, is legalese and can be taken in a number of ways.
Hmm there seems to be once again a disparity in texts between the EULA in the updater window and on the official forum support section.. Anyway, I believe you should ask about this from Bridger to be sure. Nothing preventing you from doing the chronicles at least.. If you want to use the chronicles for commercial purposes I believe you must at least ask for written permission from the publisher. But representative of the publisher would know better.. Bridger or someone else. PS providing the chronicles arent 'derivative works'
With the creative juices being switched on every time I roll a new toon on CoX, (because every toon I roll has a story; die-hard concept builder here
) where does the line fall if I wanted to chronicle the adventures myself or even take them to be chrinicled more professionally?
And would I have to take them out of the CoX universe?
