Themed RP group

I'm looking to start a themed RP group on the Union server for a small group of villains, but I first want to see if anybody would be interested at all. xD

Weekly meetings to level together and mostly to RP (You don't have to be level 50 to RP after all xD), mostly just for fun and having some good RP time. (RPing on villain side is...well...dead, in general.)


The theme will be a group of Crey test subjects, who, like Mynx, where each combined with animal DNA in an attempt to create superhuman beings.

Wolves, Cats, Bears, Reptiles, everything is allowed. =) Powersets that fit the animal would be nice (Because getting turned into a half dog does not make you breathe fire), but it's not needed.

Just checking who would be interested for now though.

I would be interested in doing this, my only problem would be committing to a time every week. I am on regularly on Thursdays as that's my heroing night and other times are a bit sporadic but mainly Monday and Wednesday nights when I am.

That said, I love the concept, I already have an idea that could fit but if you're looking to make this an RP group, you may want to post a link to this over on the Roleplaying board as there have been a few people complaining that RP on Villains is almost non-existent.

I hope this idea takes off, I miss RP on Villains.

i'd be willing to give it a crack i'm not a huge RP'er, but can give it a shot for fun kinda same as above though, i'm in a couple of bands so i get random gigs all over the place, so can't always attend the same night, every night, but i'd know in advance

At the moment the time isn't really such a big issue. I'm certain we can find some days that everybody (or a large group) can come gather up for some RP fun.

I've never really done RP before, but I'll have a go. Great time to roll a sonic/traps too I think, always wanted one. What Origin would it be? Science I guess?

Yup, origin would very likely be science. Perhaps technology if your character did not really gain any major powers from the transformation and still has to rely on gadgets but mweh. ^^

Well I've never played a Stalker before so I'm going to take this opportunity to try one if no-one minds. An unfortunate victim of Crey Industries who had their genes spliced with a bat, giving them a form of sonar... I'll put up a full bio when we're all sorted.

If people aren't used to RP, I'm happy to keep it light and easy. I just love my characters and tend to get into them.

In terms of how we get going, are we going to start all from level 1 and work up? I can't wait to start....

Yup. I was thinking of an 'all start at 1, come together 1/2/3 /whatever times a week to play together and enjoy role play fun. I want it to be available to all RPers alike, those who've been RPing since they stopped wearing diapers, and those who just started. After all, those who just started can learn from it.

There are also plenty of people out there who would love to try, but simply never had the chance to.

Sooo.. if this idea gets enough people who want to join I'll throw together a little website where everybody can post their bios. I'll also add some RP facts for those who've just started. =)

Escaped from Crey would be my guess. All that superhero put them in jail stuff is so boring. Tearing their limbs of and then slapping them with said limbs is so much better, so villain path it is? xD

Oops, just a random thought from my Stalker. I'm going with Dark/SR myself. Almost went martial arts but no.

Not sure whether I'll be able to do two or three nights a week, my times are a little more restrictive, but I'm happy to be part of this and join in when I can. The character profile is ready, now just to wrestle with the build, always a joy...

Yeah, if activity gap is big, LK's will make things alright again alot of Stalkers from the looks of things, and plenty of vengeance to be saught. Can't wait till we hit a crey arc lol its going to get a tad messy.

And could just run the storyline along with some naive heroes catching us after crey reported us escaping and killing scientists or something

Yup. ^_^ Plenty of plot line opportunities to be found. =) And from the looks of it we have some people who are looking really forward to it. We can always accept new people later on if the idea becomes a success. =)

Well if you have not already written the idea in stone, i could offer a villain group with a developed basic base for RP purposes, the base is magic origin though. Villain group is the Scourge. It already has a developed background, however i am more then willing to change it, should a reasonable number players be interested in farther developing and supporting the group.

At the moment the group doesn't exactly even need a base. =) It's simply a small group of RPers with a common background story hanging out together.

But maybe one day they'll take a hiding place in a sewer base.

I am interested, will make a brute for it. Not sure how to explain any brute secondaries away tho, has to be some gadget driven story.

Prolly SS/invuln for a Trex themed lizard like char.

Looks like we got ourselves a small group. How about everybody posts what day is the best for them? =) I'm available nearly every day so to me it doesn't matter a whole lot. xD

Damn it! I have an animalistic corruptor on Defiant whom I love to play as (when I don't play my main).
I'd love to roleplay him too, but if it's on Union I'll have to reroll him =P

One thing, I would have to have a magic origin, since my character made a deal with the forces of darkness to help him on his quest for vengeance/world domination/a bar of soap/whatever... (Mostly an excuse to get Twilight Grasp from the Dark Miasma secondary )

Sounds good. =) Plenty of demons out there who're willing to make a deal with an angry science experiment. =P
