Sidekick levels?
You need to respawn pets before they adjust their lvls afaik.
They hang around for a period of time, but will shortly expire (well, this is what happens when you go out of range of a Mentor/Boss anyway).
May be instant if you actually drop the partnership...

So if I stop sidekicking him, then his pets vanish? That sounds... odd? Unless that was how they stopped a low level getting high level pets in a mission.

[/ QUOTE ]They dont "vanish", they just die after ..15 secs maybe?
And it's much easier than coding pets with dynamic levels.
Excellent. Thanks for that folks - guess the sidekick thing will just have to suffice.
Kinda thought it would be too obvious a PL gap to have been missed.

One of my major gripes with levelling my Bot/Dark MM was the fact that if I was teamed up with a higher level, as soon as my mentor went out of mentor range my pets despawned and I needed to completely resummon.
AFAIK this is still the case. If you drop a Mentor partnering or go out of range (door/portal etc.) your higher level pets will **instantly** despawn, just as your pets normally do when your Mastermind switches maps.
It was "interesting" when this happened on my second Mayhem mission... a Necro MM was my mentor, he clicked on the bank door when our team was fighting a Hero just inside the bank ---> "Goodbye pets"...
If it is indeed working like that, it needs to be fixed. Personally I see no reason for forced despawn, just let the MM respawn the pets at his leisure.
It also prevents MM's being Ubah Malefactors. As you could easily just buff your henchies then Malefactor, and absolutely own.
Its right in principle, but the "Out of Range" automatic despawn sounds a little harsh (and dangerous).
Hopefully they'll get around to adding some sort of max time outside range. Enough to navigate a door/lift anyway.

[/ QUOTE ]It's not instant, or at least wasn't few days ago. I could stay out of LK range for 15 secs or so without henches dying.

Own how differently from normal malefactoring?

Good stuff, sounds like they've relaxed things a little bit since I levelled my MM then (was back in August ish I think). Does this apply through misson doors as well? I certainly remember many instant despawns at bank doors and CoT portals, was the main reason I soloed so much...

[/ QUOTE ]Aye, went through the cave door in christmas mish just fine.
Just out of curiousity...
If I sidekick a level 33 Mastermind up with my level 37 Mastermind and he deploys his pets at level 36 and then unsidekicks, what happens to the pets?
Do they drop level, or will they be the usual even level -1's and -2's to his sk'd level?
(FYI, it was just to help him close the gap quicker between us for even teaming purposes. I just don't recall anyone ever discussing this before).
