Hero apartments?

Well I was wandering through Faultline today (great zone, great story arcs!) and came across a block of buildings with a "Pinnacle Apartments" add on the wall leading up to it. Two buildings with a cast iron gate, a pool area and some plants.

For some reason this struck me as a great place to RP. Sort of like a Melrose Place in CoH, where people who "live" in these apartments (we obviously can't ACTUALLY we live there, but hey, pretend is fun too) can meet up, hang out, share teh dramaz, and such?

Plus it'd be an ideal place to house heroes. There's construction going on and police fighting criminal elements all over the place, so it's not really that safe for your average people (who might not want to live there anyhow) but would be great for heroes, who could then keep Faultline clear of crime more than just by patrolling it every now and then. Maybe some government subsidisement or something.

Probably a silly idea, but what do people think?

It'd be a nice place for an older group of heroes to get together on special occassions like BBQ's but very dangerous for the younger RP NPC and Alt characters.

Currently Inago, Pyranha and Winter Heart live in Faultline in a hotel.

I like the idea of plenty of heroes living in the same place and getting together because of it before buggering off to save the day. However for the idea to work work is needed, which is usually the case.

You have to get enough characters to sign up to live there, either by proposing the idea OOCly or maybe creating a landlord character who sells apartment space (or something). It's not like money would be a problem since the richer chars are so loaded that they can now get nifty x-mas presents to all of their friends this way.

Once you have the people you need a time to meet for a meeting to happen, as people wouldn't have much reason to hang around a level-inappropriate zone. GG works because it has a set time and is well-established location. Pocket D works because it a bar and common ground for heroes and villains alike. As a location, because of IG role, Pocket D is even better known by players than GG.

For the Faultline Hero Condos to work you need the people to sign up and then create a structure that keeps things moving. It's not impossible, but rarely good ideas just pick up without someone pushing them forward when things threaten to stall. Someone has to make the effort.

Unfortunately I don't think I have enough resources to be properly involved in helping to run this sort of a setup. On the other hand me showing up if this picks up speed is not out of the question as it is possible that Coile might be looking for a new place to live in in the future.

Bomber lives in Flautline, one of those snazy apartments infront of Mirror Image ^^

Kitmarch lives here, in Skyway. Although the lack of decent heating means she spends a lot of time under a heating vent in Kings Row.

'fraid none of my characters would be able to move in Sophie/Jack already being nicely housed and i'm not really inclined to make an alt towards it cause, to be honest, i already have far too many myself. Which ended up in me logging on one day and started speaking French on Jack... the Militia were for lack of a better word, confused. lol, but yeah, i think it sounds like a good idea, reminds me of the clocktower on CoV. Would also leave open space for lots of nice stories on the IC story thread etc. ;D

Well, Considering Ellie and Jess (Grav Mistress) live on a tropical island in the south pacific, the chances of them wanting to once again live in COLD Paragon City are REALLY low. And if they did, they still have their apartment in Kings Row...
