I've got lots of stuff that never seems needed - almost all my processed salvage comes from the stuff I pick up in RV.

There is some salvage, like alien tech, that is not refined, but rather used directly in creating base items.
Indeed - the Alien Tech, Aberrant Tech, Demon Heart and Spells of Power are used in building advanced base defences, and never in production of individual components. There's also certain rare pieces of salvage that can be used BOTH as parts for components, AND as keystone pieces for a finished creation... obviously, it's better to save those for the final constructs.

Also there is yellow salvage, of which there are only two pieces that I know. They make groovy PvP temp powers easyer to get.

Add Unstable rad pistol and Nano fluid to that. Those are the ones I can remember offhand. Particularly the unstable rad pistols which are used in building elite-class turrets. You cant refine them though, so no fear of using them for the wrong purpose.

But they look different? That's the main thing with bases - the look

Not sure on this one but i would imagine the arcane would just be some sorta pillar with a crystal ontop which does the firing for flames if its a machine gun type thing i dunno perhaps it gets fired out of some statues eys

the arane version of the minigun turret is called a stone thrower its your typical piller shape with a stone skull on top with its mouth open guess where the stones get fired from

Arcane Pain Field is a Dragon Statue with glowie red eyes which we use in our base for decoration.
The Tech version is some techie boxie thingie.

Be warned GG it can only be place in rooms that allow turrets like secure teleporter rooms etc.

2 things really.
Firstly, Where can a find (if anywhere) a really good list of what is made from or can be made up.
Secondly, does anyone know if Alien Tech and Book of Spells can be used in any ingredient menu? Made loads of items up and these did not move from 20. Had a look through a lot of menu and didn't see either of these as contributing to any...
