Ice epic
anyone with a suggestion? pwetty plz
I always take Haste, usually at the level 30 power pick, slap it on Autocast (Control & click on the power) and thats that.
As for Ice Armour, I went Ice Storm at 47. The damage is pretty pants though but my End is bad enough without Ice Armour adding to the load. If I'm getting hit I try and mez them, whip out hurricane or Hibernate for a few seconds recover and regroup.
Ice Patch > Freezing Rain > Ice Storm would be a nice combo, especially on certain missions such as Portal missions.

I agree with Carni, Hasten is pretty much a must-have for every controller to stack holds.
My ice/storm just hit 44 (and took Ice Epic) so I'm still experimenting with Ice Armour. Endurance is definitely an issue even if I have generous EndRdx slotting in my powers.
Concerning your build, I don't know if you wanted comments, but I would slot a few things differently:
- O2 Boost: a bit over-slotted imho. I use it as an emergency heal when no one else is around (also great when fighting Malta) and to keep Jack going when I'm soloing. I wouldn't put more than 3 Heals and maybe 1 EndRdx in it.
- Snow Storm: I use 2 EndRdx 2 Slows
- Steamy Mist: try to slot some DmgRes if you can
- Freezing Rain: For PvE I would only put the 2nd Def_debuff if you have spare slots (which it looks like you won't)
- Hurricane: I use 2 EndRdx 3 ThT_Debuf
- Mesmerize: I wouldn't bother with a Sleep, especially at that level
- TK: I would put 3 EndRdx and 1-2 Rechg
- Mass Confusion: I would slot 2 Accuracies
- Tornado: decent damage, I slot 3 Dmg 1 EndRdx 1-2 Rechg (same for Lightning Storm)

for o2 boost it is one of my favorite powers. but i removed a recharge from it because it recharges fast anyway. and for steamy mist i dont use it for the dmgres i only use it for the stealth effect. as for tornado i dont have the slots to upgrade it further i only took it for pvp but i have taken ure advice for the other slottings so ty

You should definately slot Steamy Mist for dmg res...especially in PvP. Fire/Cold/Nrg aren't exactly uncommon dmgtypes in PvP + it has a nifty res to Confuse.
Tornado is great in aswell...decent dmg and massive defense debuff...this is the power that will make you hit through PFF if need be so consider slotting it.

The Defense debuff is only 15% on Tornado according to NoFuture, half that of Freezing Rain! I'd slot FR for Defense debuff instead, its the big hitter (I think both those figures are for the Defender versions though, probably about 12 / 24% for controllers).
I use it on my Illusionist as another Control power, slotting with Damage & Stun length nowadays.

Then either Tornado is bugged or it applies the debuff every tick or something...it's def debuff is definately better than Freezing Rains.
Never been able to land any attacks through PFF when using Freezing Rain...have on numerous occasions with Tornado.
EDIT: Freezing Rain has 1 def debuff slotted, Tornado has none slotted.

I agree, I got absoloutely creamed by Psygons Tornado in the 3vP event too, it completely eliminated any sort of protection I had.
It does have "effect does not stack" on the Tornado description. The description must be incorrect in some way I guess.
A super power in AV fights, especially against Infernal and his wretched Portal. Stunned demons everywhere.

Looks like the Ice Epic is going to be one of the better ones if the US test server patch is anything to go by.
Containment damage is coming to Ice Storm, all the other damaging powers across all controller epics are getting nerfed to 'fit in line' with the damage numbers from controller primaries.
Yeah but Ice Storm was pants beforehand. Fireball should still outdamage it DPS-wise.
All its getting is Containment bonus. Nice for people with AOE immobs alright. But it was so poor beforehand it deserves the bonus.
Hibernate is the real gem in Ice Epic.
Aye, fireball should still outdamage it in burst AoE damage. You do get a considerable -slow and -recharge out of it though, and damage per tick is quoted as being "0.77854 Lethal and 0.77854 Cold" on the US boards.
With 3 Damage SOs and Containment that rises to about 400% or 6.22832 damage per tick. Ticks are every 0.2 seconds so that would be 467.124 damage total over the 15 second duration, assuming that you could keep the mobs in place with a slow (snow storm?) or immob and could get the power up to reasonable accuracy.
Not brilliant, but better than it was. Makes the Ice epic a bit more attractive in comparison to the other epics now. Also Ice Storm is a "psuedo-pet", so does that mean Fulcrum Shift stacks with it....?
ok guys with the i8 coming up and my respec coming closer i managed to make a built but i do have some questions
so first is ice armor from the ice epic worth taking? i mean i had it and i thought it helped a bit but does it really help preventing getting you killed alot?
then for my second hasten. i know almost everyone says hasten great and stuff but most of the time i have it up i forget to press it and to be honest i dont really miss it either so if you people can convince me to keep it ill keep it if u cant give me an alternative so any sugestions are welcome (ps i am not changing into any other epic ice is it for me
