i not sure about fly power in pvp i would go for sj as it goes great with em plus faster way to get out of trouble

Fly is good for stalkers dont listen to him
normaly i agree cus currently running with fly on my build but i do have the nasty problem when i get grounded i am stuck but i would like idea's on how to improve this build suggestions would be nice
Well to avoid getting stuck depends on the powers that trap you. Superspeed works against web grenade (that makes you lose fly) and superjump works against ice storm (that also makes you lose fly) and other powers that slow your running speed.
If you end up in tar patch... only thing that helps is teleport. (teleport is the best escape power against all movement impairing effects but I think its horrible travel power when you want to kill someone)
i tried ss not good at all as most of people are on building or flying around sj is the best option trust me you will not get disapointed
well i will try each one and get bk to you's on this subject but i am in agreement with the teleport sucks in the pvp zone unless your emeny is standin still for a prolong period of time

thats the problem with pvp lately, too many hit and runners out there. what happened to duelling toe to toe? ok there are some ppl who do try and sneak up on you but unledd you unhide while you are travelling, or are daft enough to try and assassin strike someone much bigger then you why would you want to. and to be honest if you run round in hide, assassin striking ppl, you deserve everything you get!!
Thats one valid method of playing. If you are losing, run..
Arena is for duels, btw.
I am in agreement with hammer pvp zones is not the arena.
All these ones out there that want duels in the pvp zones always say.
"Ok 1v1 but your not allow to use hide".... now i am not sure on defiant players but this is coming from union players i get this a lot.
Back to one of last problems i have with this game most ppl think that stalkers are the same as scrappers and will not listen to reason.
Ah, those people. Just AS them for fun and profit. Asking for 1 on 1 with a Stalker without Hide is a sign they are perfect targets for you as they have no +perception or basic knowledge of fighting against Stalkers.

i agree, thats what the arena is for, BUT, for arguments sake lets say people did want to use pvp zones for duelling. (which we all know they do) its frustrating for both people when someone appears out of nowhere and intereferes. Ok i understand that is the risk you take doin it in pvp zone. but if you are gonna sneak up and try to assassin strike someone, at least stick around and get whats comin to ya if it goes pear shaped. I'm not biased btw i love COH and COV equally. but i for one have always been of the belief, Don't Start what you cant finish, and if you do, take the whoopin like a man rather than scarpering when it gets too hot.

Stalkers are nice Archetypes, they can as a general rule stand up well against a tanker in pvp. The problem is certainly from both sides i have experienced this, There is no other AT who can effectively fight against a Stalker. If a tank gets AS'd he can turn round a wallop the stalker over the head for it and thus begins the three hour battle to see whos endurance lasts the longest. but i think it gets boring as a stalker being able to basically two hit any other AT. and irritating as one of those AT's. Would be nice to see the playing field levelled a bit, if only for gameplay sake.
Hmmmm there is a flaw in that rant of yours.
Most stalker types cannot maintain a fight at a continuous battle for the main problem of low health points. Plus this goes against the point of the AT to stand around for someone to smack him out cold (alsothe fact i would have to stand out of hide....)
Another problem I have is that you say "There is no other AT who can effectively fight against a Stalker." which i think your mean tankers but you have forgoten about Storm trollers/Defenders there stalker killers.
Last problem I have with your rant is you have came to the concluesion that stalkers are overpower were it is the complete oppsite. Yes they can do a serious crit when out of hide BUT when out of hide the damage protential is heavly hit and that makes it another reason not to stick around.

Yep it is vica versa i have knock out my fair few /dev blaster and other AT but always been a big challange
What i meant was, that the way i usually find stalkers initiate these fights is by AS'in which to a tanker isnt much of a problem, but ive rarely see blasters, defenders or scrappers last long enough to actually fight back.
Im in total agreement, that out of hide, stalkers are vulnerable, or at least as vulnerable as a scrapper is anyway.
You can not be compairing scrappers and stalkers together.
Tankers arnt safe in SC have been known to 3 shot a tanker btw
Hehe Fair enough. But you kind of made my point there too. If you can 3 hit a tanker, how in hades a blaster, scrapper or def is supposed to survive i dont know.

Just been reading some of yer posts on the other thread godfall reference the word n00b and im in complete agreement with you.
The thing is for a stalker, its a quandry, do i go without hide and stand a good chance of gettin my behind handed to me on a plate. or do i go in with hide and risk a verbal attack if i actually beat them??
Its a toughie and as i said b4 having been on both sides of the argument. i dont think its a situation that will ever be resolved.

If it makes ya feel any better. Not many of my Heroes can actually kill a stalker. Never fought a stalker out of hide admittedly but its only my Tank who actually breaks the stalemate
