Boredom

Boredom has caused me to swap back to villains for a bit. However, I find the lack of players annoying. Therefore, I would like to make a solo character. I would rather not make a Stalker, and I have a Fire/Kinetics corruptor. What overall would be the best XP Machine (just getting missions done quickly) That would be easy and fun? I am tearing my hair out trying to decide, and hopefull this toon could be the one that stops me swapping to 100% WoW...

From what you describe I would say pick a brute. Some people might suggest a Master Mind but you will have to spend a lot of time at the start of a mission setting up your pets (gets worse the higher the lvl you are).

With a Brute you can do great damage and also take more damage than any other AT in CoV. To get the most out of your brute you will want to keep that fury bar high, you do this by trying to fight continuously. Brutes really are the best solo toon IMO and you will fly through the lvls solo. Not too shabby in PvP as well

I really like Brutes and have played a few different combos (got my SS/EA to 50). Really enjoying my Fire/Fire at the moment, got him to lvl 30 in under 3 weeks and I don't get to play as much as I'd like.

Try out a few brutes and see what you like best.

I am experimenting with a Elec/Fire Brute at the moment. The reason being I get the nice Blazing Aura to get my Fury and my DPS right up and I get a lovely cone attack at lvl 2 (Jacobs Ladder - think Shadow Maul without the bad bits) and Thunder Strike by lvl 8.

So thats a cone, an AoE and an Aura by lvl 8. Hopefully he will be a mob-munching badboy. Alternatively he could be a squishy debt and aggro magnet.

yep I agree, a brute is definatly the way to go.

I first started villains with a very very solo-unfriendly build and it soon became a nightmare to play. at that point I switched to an Energy/Dark brute and have loved every minute of it!

If you're tempted to go for something a lil harder than just hitting stuff...i give you the Fire/Fire Dominator.

Its an damage dealing nutter, managed to pretty much solo mine to lvl24 so far and always have to keep an eye on whats coming, plus Firey Embrace and Domination is one heck of a lethal cocktail...plus the pets look cool.

I have two high level fire doms (one is /nrg other is /fire) and they are a strugle until you get your imps at lvl 32. Once you have those it is plain sailing. Can solo most missions on relentless with my fire/nrg.

My fire/fire doesn't really struggle solo, I've managed do dispatch all the elite bosses so far with little trouble. Big teams is another story though..

*activate flashfire* *mobs shoot me half dead* *phew, flashfire animation finally finishes* *blink* *what, flashfire ran out already?!* *faceplant*

Likewise I have a lvl 33 Brute, pretty much solo'd him (ss/nrg) and have got my MM to lvl 20 recently (necro/poison). Have to agree that slower with a MM as pets take ages to set up. Brutes are best.
