The Story Game
His eyes swept over the horizon, searching, yearning for the presence of the one creature that could satiate his desires.

Despite knowing the chances of her arrival were second to none
He was still hopeful she would come.
He thought to himself that he probably should have phoned her and told her where to meet. The mastery of memory and amnesia wasnt going quite as well as the genie had promised, he mused to himself
But then again, should he even trust the genie? No-one knew where he came from...
Still, it had kept up it's end of the bargain. Seven weeks ago, he had been James Schultz, a beat cop watching the city decay under the weight of crime and violence.
Now he was Cobalt, the new hero in town, he had a new life, but only the woman he waited for could make it complete
He juggled two fireballs absent-mindedly, praying that she would make it and it would be better again.
A flock of pigeons flew past, and he looked up, just in time to see a horrific sight.

"Huge Reductions on Spandex! Come to Icon In Steel Canyon." flashed the neon words aside the blimp!
he sighed and looked at the tear in his costume. He knew he needed to get it fixed but he really should wait, he took a quick glance at his watch, even if she was half an hour late
With a glance to ensure the way was clear, he burst into superspeed, throwing a scowling look at the flying heroes who were heading for the tramline.

Whilst scowling, he saw a familiar figure in the corner of his eye, could it be her?
The figure turned his way, dark cloak billowing in the wind. No. Not her. The genie.
It was too soon; there was no way that the tribute was due so soon and so he leant further into his speed force and blasted through to the Steel Canyon underpass.

he sped so fast that the breath was stolen from all the citizens he passed. windows shattered and still he ran.
But he was still not fast enough; it was still there, every time he looked up, unmoving, watching him.
"You cannot out-run your destiny," it had said.
"I can damn well try," he growled.
The genie laughed behind him as he ran faster and faster through the city, moving effortlessly behind him then genie grinned.
'i'm waiting.' Increasing his speed Cobalt kept on running
Steel Canyon, Independence Port, Brickstown, Crey's Folly all fell behind Cobalt and he finally stopped near the fallen Rikti spacecraft, flames and energy emerging from his hands. He knew it was futile, but he was not going down without a fight. Breathing hard, he turned around to face the Genie.

It smiled, it's cloak billowing around it. He was about 9 ft tall and had blue skin with flowing black hair. He wore arabic clothes like those often seen worn by genies, but nothing could compare to the grin he wore at the moment. His facial proportions had even altered to fit it on his face and as he landed he sidled up to Cobalt and put his arm around him.
"well well well," he said "you don't appear to have my... tribute with you... hoooow... unfortunate." the genie smiled and stood infront the young man, his face suddenly very serious and dark
It stood, tall, thin, ethereal, still shrouded in it's dark, billowing cloak. Though he couldn't see it's face, he knew it was grinning.
"Azazeyal," he growled. The speed force that made up his powers burst from his body, surrounding him in a halo of temporal energy.
"STOP" shouted a distant voice. Cobolts attention turned to its source. "No.... it couldn't be, could it?"
She stood with the sun behind her so Cobalt couldn't make out her features but he could tell it was her. There was something about her he could always recognise, something special, and as he looked back, he saw the genie smiling, apparently he had seen her as well.
The woman slowly began walking towards Cobalt and the genie. Her unfading smile scared the genie. "Why isn't she scared?" He thought to himself.
Iv had this idea a wile now....
A lot of people enjoy writing storys (me included) and i thought we could all make one together.
SO heres my idea
Each reply you make will consist of a short sentance or part of a sentance carried on from the last reply.
so for example;
1st reply- He walked into a bar
2nd reply- fell over and said "ouch"
3rd reply- he picked himself up and carried on walking.
Get it now?
So to start of this maddness;
Once apon a time there was a Hero standing under the globe statue in atlas park.
