Basically you want to find the biggest mob you can, then jump right into the middle of them. With my Invuln Scrapper when i'm surrounded by more than 6 bad guys I hardly get touched. When I've started carving them up and there's about 2-3 left I get hit alot more, so there definitely seems to be a 'critical' point where it moves from not being hit, to getting hit most times.
