For your extra slots you may possibly take the dam res from power surge, as with only 1 dam res and your other shields you'll be pretty much maxed out.
If you look at that free download we were given, and if it is right, most of your dam res has a base of 26%, with 3 SO's thats 40.5%, yes I know energy is higher at 95% and Neg is lower at 35%, add in the Power Surge base res of 52.5% vrs most, 60% vrs Energy and 45% vrs Neg, it doesn't increase your Psi tho by the looks of it, and you'll have maxed out on everything with 1 SO in Dam Res, and you only do this for the Neg bit really, as with your other shields running you don't really need 3 SO's of Dam Res.
Hope this gets you your spare slots.
Also not sure if Summon Striker actually accept a recharge, I don't think any of the Patrons pets do, so that would give you another slot.
Would also slot recharge first on Power Sink, and I am assuming the Dam Res until you get hasten on your attacks would be recharges, I'm doing this on my EM/EA Brute as we'll.

Chelsea m8, i think I have had this discussion with people before on the forum, he's taking flying because of air superiorities ability to knock down foes, it's peobably one of the best pre travel powers early on in CoV, hasten for SS would be my next bet but SS is pretty much gimped inCov due to the overlad map lay outs. Fly doesn't work well with Grounded if you FLY in missions, and I can't say I've done this much even with my flyers.

This build is meant to be about PVP.
To the OP: the fact that you're a flying brute means you won't whoop anything, since they can all get away. In fact, you'll have REAL problems versus fliers, considering the fact that if you try to follow them you'll lose mez protection, and be slaughtered.
Take aid self, unless you were joking about PVP. Self heals are pretty much necessary.
You know that powersurge will kill you right? Sure, it makes you immortal, and fires off a nasty hold. Which is why everyone will run away, and then 1 shot you second it's over.
The only thing you would whoop would be an elec blaster, since everything else will either take you out when powersurge drops or just run away.

Ok your points are valid but not wholly correct: -
Grounded is Immob and KB protection, ELA brutes rely on Static Shield for their main mez protection. You know what happens when you get KB while flying

You ask how the OP is going to catch and kill anyone with fly alone? I have done this against all kinds of heroes. Once Air Superiority connects guess where that flyer is going
. the ground. I use an Energy/ELA brute and with the Stuns that all of my attacks contain there is a high chance that with any of my hits that flyer will be on the ground.
Didn't know about static shield, but In PVP I've never been caught by a melee flier, I simply jump away, and since I'm so much faster (and can change altitude quicker) the flier simply doesn't have a chance.
Also, for energy that would work, as you have lots of stuns. Elec doesn't, and would be relying on AS alone to take down a flier, and that's all he could take down. AS doesn't help much against TPers, or SSers, or SJers.

ok its taken me lots of tinkering but i think ive finally come up with a pvp build for my brute that will whoop [censored] vs almost anything. What u guys think?
