Dark Melee / Invulnerability - Discuss

I finally have a decent concept character for a scrapper; as the tile suggests Dark Melee / Invulnerability.

Sure, I understand that primary A works better with secondary B, but to me and my style of playing, I enjoy concepts rather than FOTM builds etc. So if anybody has a suggestions, example builds, or pit-falls that need to be avoided, I would appreciate your input.

Cheers………….

I eould not use that build..Dark Consumption sucks without SOs...Stamina needs to be asap

I personally never take fly pre SOs due to end drain and speed

Air sup is not the be all and end all of existence which many people on this forum believe it to be....same with touch of fear

Stamina before DC, definitely, have played DM/Regen, DM/Inv, DM/DA and (obviously my favourite) DM/SR. With DM/Inv I had trouble getting the powers near the levels I wanted them, I had some conflicts and dumped it, but I am sure it is workable.

Fly is horrible pre-stamina butg you have to get around somehow and Air Sup is a nice filler until you get Midnight Grasp. It gives a bit of control but I found I stopped using it when I got Dark Blast which fills the same gap with a quicker animation.

Touch Of Fear and Soul Drain are the biggest plusses of DM, both are what give you a good chance vs. AVs. ToF is end intensive though, if you're not regen at least one end red is advised, well be me at least. ToF can be taken later I suppose, first time I found it truely helpful was Striga, so that gives a rough idea of level range

Touch Of Fear is what makes DM fgood VS's

"Well, they found my diary today.
They were appropriately appalled
at the discovery of the eight victims
They're now putting it all together.
Women wrapped in silk
with one leg missing
Eight legs, one body, silk,
spider, brilliant!"

Air Sup fills out the attack chain and adds damage mitigation. ToF is awesome for PVP, since it's so rarely resisted. I honestly don't see the point of playing a powerset without it's most useful move, and if you're talking PVP that's ToF. MG's immob is unreliable, but ToF stops anything that isn't /dark or /nin from moving, while giving a hefty debuff.
