Never teamed with him though (boo) but I remember seeing him on the forums, and a few times I saw his pink costume hanging around in game

I too remember him although I never teamed with him.
I also remember a thread some time ago about people who where cool and had not been seen in a while, his name came up quite a bit 
We were just talking about Buff the other day in the SG and the disturbing lack of short pink heroes these days, one of our members has made a Buff Love tribute villain, apparently he can even still remember Buffs Bio (he claims its due to Buff forcing him to read it continually) 
So Buff you havent been forgottten, in fact some people remember you too well
Buff! I remember running through the Freakalympics arc with him, Chilm and Wall of Fire and a few others (there's a pic somewhere!) and it was really good fun! not enough tight pink spandex about anymore!
