I'm not really a Villains player though (I have it, just can't be bothered, the ATs aren't as much fun) so can't help you there in terms of joining an SG. If you're on the heroic side give me a shout though, I won't be leaving the Forgotten Warriors but I'm happy to team.

Im currently playing my MM at lvl 42 now, but my brute lvl 26.7 is within the range of your corrupter if ya wanna team at some stage. On most nights between 9pm-1am.
If you guys fancy an all-Irish Mayhem mission I've been saving one on my level 26/27 Kinetics Corrupter for a week or so. i'm usually a mid-late evening player too, 9pm+.
@Carnifax if you're on and looking for a teamie. If i'm on the side of good I'll switch over to join you.
ill be up for it with my brute, will be a nice change doing a mayhem mish with a brute rather than my MM who's pets are a nightmare in a mayhem mish.

Sorry guys, my graphics card seems to be melting or undergoing fusion or something. 5 minutes into playing little glitches appear onscreen before it goes "Poof" and explodes & hangs. Seems to be a card issue too, not a game one (Halflife 2 did the same thing yesterday).
So I can't say when I'll be on properly again. Going to do the techie thing to the machine later, open it up & clean, remove and reinsert the card and reinstall drivers but I don't know whats actually wrong with it so I dunno if I'll be on later.
Hopefully I will. I reckon the card is overheating and the airflow in the case is being blocked / interrupted.

How old is the card? big problem that happens with GFX cards is the thermal compound becomes hardened and ineffective so the chip overheats. As you are taking the pc apart already to clean, I would advise you to replace the thermal compound. As your card takes 5 mins to crash I would suggest its overheating. This happened to me with my 9800 pro.

Yep, after seeing Halflife die yesterday I came to the overheating conclusion too.
Exactly the same model actually, 9800 pro, about 2 and a half years old and well used.
So where do I get Thermal Compound? I'm in Dublin city centre anyway so I can nip out at lunch. I'm in IT so I know my way around the innards too but I've never done this (or even heard of Thermal Compound) before.
Themal Compound provides the conduit for heat despersion between the chip and heatsink without it CPU chips would fry.
K not a problem, this is easy (once you have the thermal paste/compound) I done it myself at home and im no pc tech wizard.
My card went like this after 1.5 yrs.
Any PC repair shop will have the likes of Artic Silver (google it) or something similar, its not expensive.
You need to clean the old stuff off with Isopropyl or something similar. again a good PC shop should have some.
Its as simple as this.
Unplug PC from mains and touch case to remove any static from yourself (textbook stuff). Take out gfx card and remove the heatsink fron chip and clean off the old compound with Isopropyl and a cotton bud from heatsink and chip. Put on some compound (not too much, size of grain of rice) replace heatsink.
Sound complicated but its a 5 min job and your good to go.

Nope, no joy really. Its still overheating. Going to bring a useless card home from work today to double-check but I reckon its just the ATIs time to die.
So I've decided "sod that, I'm buying a new one" . Gonna go get myself a 6800GS of some description over the weekend instead. I could do with an upgrade anyway, its been 2 and a half years.
On the SG thing, I have two Villain alts who are SGless anyway, a level 14 Fire/Thorns Dominator (bleargh) and a 26 Necro/Dark MM.
I don't play them much at the mo, they were my first two villains and then I went on a huge Hero Alt spree but if you have the room they could join too and I'll pop on as them whenever I can drag myself away from playing Controllers on the side of virtue.
Im baffled, that should have fixed the overheating issue for sure.
Im gonna upgrade soon myself but I will do the full system upgrade, CPU, motherboard and GFX card.
I have had my PC for 2yrs now so a new one is on the horizon.
To be honest I opened the machine, removed the card and then got stuck
Couldn't get the fan off, removed the little slidey things with a pliers and just couldn't get it off. And you know the fear of forcing something. It'll go "snap" and it'll be oh noes time.
Really I've decided to take advantage of the oppertunity to buy myself a nice shiney new card though

Cool. I'll be on later, probably starting on the heroic side with my Fire/Rad controller but happy to switch over. Once the Global Chat names are set up it should be easy enough to schedule something anyway.

Yeah I've seen a few of us around too.
Probably all in SG or VG already though, you could try ot get alts instead of mains though.
I was thinking of setting up a SG for all of you fine villains (mabye heroes at some later stage) who are from the great island of Ireland. First of all though,i need to know if im the only one in this country who has bought the game.
Please post here if you are from Ireland,North and South.
