There is something in the Iron Skin picture that I can't really put my finger on. Maybe the white background? Or maybe could use more room in the up and right? I dont know.
But the second one, very cool! Great use of colors, and I love the "fade" effect, and also the skull.

Edit: also, forgot to mention, I really LOVE this style. It seizes your attention and there's lots for your eye to take in but at the same time, it's not cluttered.
