It only appears in an ambush and gives no badge if you can defeat the 8 rituals before he spawns mission will finish, or you can defeat him and mish will end :P

in my recollection baphomet was a wuss, and didnt even give the badge

Did him a couple of times. No badge if I remember correctly
I solo'd this yesterday. I thought then that what with all the COT around it might be a bit of nightmare with a team, though I also thought 8 stalkers would be quite handy
Baphomet never turned up though I did get ambushed a couple of times, they could see through my hide, a stalkers worst nightmare. I had about fifteen mins to spare at the end. Good luck with it, you can always give Calara a shout if she is is on and you want a hand.

Did this mish for about the 3rd or 4th time with Doc over on Pinnacle last night - I think we dropped him by accident as we got the mission complete message with 3 rituals to go - he had spawned after we did the 4th one.
Even when we deliberately targetted him in previous times there was still no badge.

It wasn't giving a badge because it was a 'different' Baphomet used in the CoV mission than in the CoH mission, but I believe Positron (or someone else) said they'd fix it, so it was the correct - badgegiving - Baphomet to appear.
Actually dev Positron has stated that there is no badge for Baphomet in CoV - at least how I read it. Check one of the first postings in this thread

You may need to go back and defeat him again in CoV to get credit.

If theres no badge currently then i guess thats ok since theres nothing to lose if the mission flops, I'll give it a try solo but if it gets heavy I'll call (tell) a few people, and see who's available.
Cant hold the mission till said patch is done, since i'll probably out level the contact and we all hate when that happens right?

Anyway, So i need a crack-team of lvl37+ to assist my villian Kurenai in a mission i believe will involved defeating Baphomet (CoT Monster).
To my knowledge this guy gave a badge (demon slayer) in CoH, however I'm not sure this applies to CoV. if anyone can share some info on this that would be sweet.
More info on the mission, Its given by Magus Mu'Drakhan Its timed at "under 2 hours" and suggests a good team
