I'll be afk for 15mins eating dinner..
This is a great time to make abundant use of the /em Slap.
To be honest, i wouldn't have been best pleased

I just remembered I'd promised a place to an sg friend, really sorry!

The oldest excuse in the book, I hate this one being used.
Yes, it does, way too much!
I've done moonfire today with 6 other guys and a tanker "he-who-shall-not-be-named". He left after the second mission because he needs to level and -1 wolves weren't good enough for him, and he wanted +2s instead. "Sorry, joined the TF for the xp."

Anyone who knows me, also knows that I will do any tf (even after so many disasters!!) <<<<< Was refering to that type of thing here, yes sadly some people have only the spirit for xp, and those same people shouldn't inflict themselves on others!!

People do Tf's for XP, i thought everyone was like me and just did them for the shiny badges
Now @Eskimo-Spy
I'm not evil.
last night a lvl 6 player was in Hollows alone, needed team to do a mission. I gladly helped him with another lvl 12 blaster to do the mission and I won't mind to do it again. Its sad when a "game" becomes something else than a "game".
agreed, those who know me know that I'm big on the experience and not the XPerience of the game.
Those people who want to play for just xp might as well play a single player game rather than a MMOG
Once you've invited someone onto a TF you don't just kick them! Even if you haven't started yet, that person has been waiting with you to form a team.

Whew - that was lucky. Started reading this post as you'd mentioned the Manticore TF:
We did this last night -check
We had someone afk at the beginning - check
I was the only Tanker -nervous check (didn't recall complaining as I'm only just level 30 myself).
Then I noticed the time of the post and realised it wasn't us as we didn't start til 19:30. Huge sigh of relief and knot in stomach dissipitating... Our group was really friendly - that was once I realised that me using hand clap to grab villain aggro was mostly gaining aggro from my troller team mates trying to use AoE's...very quickly moved to my 3rd power tray.
I too have had a similair experience having agreed to do a TF the other Saturday at 3pm. Got sent a tell at 2:30 saying they were going early. I was only about 5 mins away and after quitting my active mish and heading over was sent another saying they'd just started. Was really cheesed off as not only had they changed the original time, they didn't have the decency to give me the chance to get there!! - I feel your pain brother....

I was asked to do Manticore tf from a player I have teamed with just once before ( also great healer too!). Even got a 'Please let me invite you' pm, which is always greatly appreciated
Anyway, before I had accepted invite I told this player that I was about to eat my dinner & would be about 15-20mins, this was okayed. When I got into team I also told them as well, just to make sure this was alright with them all.
I then told them that I was going to eat, and went off to do so. A few minutes later, quickly left my dinner for a sec & went to check back, where I noticed that the tanker was saying I was a bit too low lvl (I'm lvl32 blaster), 'oh dear, am I? but I did this quite comfortably with my main blaster when I was lvl31!' I thought to myself, having to go back to the table to finish off dinner. Returning 10mins later, I had been kicked from team and a pm was left there for me 'I had to kick you, you were a bit too low lvl, I just remembered I'd promised a place to an sg friend, really sorry!'. Hmm okay, apology accepted, but why invite me in the 1st place!!!!!
My grievance may seem a bit petty, but I find this really out-of-order, having done what I could to ensure that they'd all be ok with my 15min 'afk' at the start.
Please be kind with any feedback, Thanks.
