I had some lyrics and was mucking about with my cheap headset mic for timings etc.
I'll let you hear that so you can decide if you actually want any of my words etc. There isn't a lot of point me carrying on for the time being i'll let you co-ordinate what you want first 
Let me know if you want me to do any parts properly and I'll get my decent kit out and do it for you.

As some of you (Jac) may know from my Song Review post, the idea came about (Jac) to put together a large group song, called Nerf Aid.
To that end, any and all people who want to join in with this little endeavor, regardless of singing ability, please feel free to do so. Even our American friends who have infiltrated our forum by proxy are welcome to join in. Just let me know on this thread, or, if you suffer from being very, very shy, send me a PM, and you won't be named in the finished product's thread unless you want to.
This is all you need:
1. A microphone
2. A way of recording your voice.
3. The backing track (which can be found HERE)
That's pretty much it.
"But, FG!" I hear you cry. "I don't have a way to record my voice".
Anyone with Windows XP has Windows Movie Maker, and Media Player. All you have to do is set up Media Player to play the song, and sing into Movie Maker, using the "Narration" button. (It's the one that looks like a microphone).
Then, save the resulting WMA, and e-mail it to me. I'll PM you my address, or if you want, send them to me via MSN.
Male and female singers are not only wanted, but needed. Also, if you want to change any of the lyrics, feel free, but please keep them in line with the song. If you -do- change any of the lyrics, and I like it, those will become your lines when I'm mixing this all together, so pick carefully. The only lines where everyone will be singing will be the last two, which are repeated a lot, so please make sure you include every repetition. One of the problems with the backing track I have is that there are backing vocals singing the original lines "Feed the world, let them know it's Christmas time", so I'll probably fade that out and have an acapella chorus going on.
The deadline for getting those WMAs to me is the 22nd, which gives you two weeks from today.
If anyone has any questions on timing, etc, I can be reached here a lot. Feel free to drop a line.
