Thanks once again :P i'am trying out/playing as a Katana/SR as you mention in one of my other posts, and so far, everything seems okay. not sure what kind of skills and stuff i should choose, but i've donwloaded the planner thingy and i'll test out some stuff with it when i got time =)
BTW, should warn you, katana/sr is horribly squishy. Once you have Divine Avalanch up and running you'll be able to withstand about one-sixth of the damage of a kat/regen and about a quarter of a Dark Armour scrapper. Before that, you're about as good as a well buffed Blaster. 
This may improve a bit under I7.

I've played a Katana/SR now for some hours, but i don't know, i did like using claws better.
So now i'am wondering about, either a MA/SR, MA/Reg, CL/SR or CL/Reg, what do you guys think? i'am after to have a Scrapper which do both decent in PvE and PvP.
Edit: One little thing, as I7 is cooming soon, i wonder how the future of these powersets looks? what do you think I7 will bring to the above mention sets and KA/SR?
Edit: Talked to a lot of scrappers ingame now, and after hearing what they have to say about katana/sr its not that bad, i've also heard rumors that sr is getting a buff? and thats just great =) anyway so its seems like i've managed to finally decide which toon i'll going to play.
First of Ma/Regen Owns, in both Pve and PvP.
Crow is absolutly correct.
No one truely knows what I7 will bring. Some people think defensive powersets will come out worse, some think the opposite.
Try Ma/Regen. If you like It I'll flag a build up for ya.

I've choosed Katana/SR now and i like it more now, i've got a feeling for it now, and so far its working good to.
Can't quite see why Katana and SR should be such a bad combination? i've heard SR is great in pvp against stalkers for example and i that i don't mind, also Katana do nice dmg, much more than what my claws did =)

The build he has set up looks fine, but i'am going to choose my travel power and stuff before. thats all i know else i think i'am going to follow that guide.

My main is a a kat/regen and a good friend of mine is a kat/SR. We fought in the arena and my, then, 43 toon brought down his 50.
On the flip side SRs can be built to see stalkers and are due for some loving in i7.

Spines/regen is probebly the best in pvp. Martial Arts and broadsword do good though. Avoid katana in pvp it's not that good.
Why? like whats the big diffrence between katana and broadsword? the only biggest diffrence is that Broadsword do a little more damage. So i can't see why katana can do such worse than claws/ma/bs/spines in pvp.
Katana's strongest attack has like a brawl index of 6,1 and broadsword has 7,1 plus all the other broadsword attacks do a bit more damage. Katana recharges faster though and cost less endurance, but if you wanna kill a squshie fast you need a broadsword rather then a katana, they will run before you get a chance to kill them with katana. Claw's simply suck because they do so poor damage, get a good ranged attack though. Spines rock because of impale has a -fly and immoblize, makes it very good to kill squshies. plus spines has a -slow - recharge which is nice. Martial arts is good because it does fairly good damage, has dissorient so you can keep the squshies from running. One of martial arts attacks has a -fly as well. Dark Melee is ok, it lacks a good build up for pvp though. you can do ok with it because midnight grasp has a immoblize to keep squshies from running, you also get touch of fear which is nice, but shadow maul has very long animation. Claws have a poor build up too. You can do good with katana though, i've got a katana/regen scrapper at level 50. I wish i was broadsword though as it's hard to get those squishies to stay.
Regen because it's simply the best, i don't care what they say about sr. Regen will always be best in pvp. Sr is so easy to hit, i kill all sr scrappers in arena thanks to slotting attacks with 2 accuracy and having focused accuracy. Makes it really easy to hit sr. and when you hit build up as well it's really really hard to miss a sr scrapper.

My Katana/SR now is lvl 10, and i love it so far, so i will not stop now, really hope this char is the one i bring to 50 =)

cant go wrong (unless u find someway of really messing it up)
regen, heal and rechrg enhancements, simple
katana, simple attacks, dmg, acc, rehcrg

I've turned 14 with my Katana/SR now and so far i love it still, can't see what Katana/SR is such a bad combination, and as someone says SR may get a little love in I7 and thats even better.
So just by saying Katana/regen is better will not make me change character again, need a much better resone than that.
Of course i haven't tried my char in any pvp action yet but so far in PvE i'am doing superb after what i think =)

Don't quite get what you mean by that post, but anyway.
Can someone please let me know why Katana/SR is such a bad combination? like why is it for example so diffrent from a MA/SR?
And if there is any high lvl Katana/SR ppl here on the forum, can't you tell me a little about what you think about your scrapper?
I wouldnt say it's bad, it's not 'über' (for that youd need regen 
), but it's certainly not bad, and the stacking DEF from DA is nice.
Then again, a secondary with RES/Regen could potentially benefit more of the DEF boost...
But no way it's a bad combo, if you're happy with it, stick with it

I have a level 25 Katana/Super Reflex's Scrapper.
Dont delete your /SR scrapper, in hope that I7 brings buffs for the power set.

Its a great combo.
A player named Uzzi (Sin_Harvest on these forums) has this exact mix. With his powers a few inspirations and a bit of luck. I have watched him kill, 1 Zeus Titan, 1 and 1/2 a Herculeus Titan, 4 malta minions, 2 sappers, 1 gunslinger boss, numerous gun turetts, Tac Ops Commander etc etc.. In two words. He Pwns.
You will get especially later on in your career some great powers, namely Elude. So though it may be a slow starter in the long run its great.

This is so frustrating, because i hear all say that Katana/SR sucks, but i can't see why, because so far i love my character.
It maybe not the most "overpowered" combination but i works, and it is cool =)

I'am going to make a new toon, and since the scrapper is the only class that can hold my intrest, i'am going to go for a scrapper one more time, but this time i want to be sure to choose the right set of skills and the right power sets.
So, am a really fan of ninja's, so i was thinking maybe a katana/SR really like the sword and that i can dodge things, but then, the question, how is this in PvP? and in PvE? both on soloing, and in groups?
And sorry for spamming the forum here with my posts :P i'am just really desperate to find out what will fit for me.
So hope someone can come with some really good answeres and help me a little here-
