I very much want to know what the rest of the community would like to see in a CoV expansion after Destiny! I've posted some of my ideas, what do you think?
Dust Control
Overview
Dust Control is the control of dust like the type you find on old books, and things like dust such as sand and ash, it is not however the control of atoms or molecules, only visible particles aloud! It will probably appeal to the types of people who like Earth Control and Plant Control.
Attacks
Attacks include in order:
Sand Storm: This move is a one target move that lasts a limited amount of time then fades, the caster may have more than one of these going at the same time and the moment it is used the power starts to recharge, unlike radiation infection. While this attack is going the target will have dramatically reduced accuracy, and after the power has faded the target will be temporarily sleeping, with rubbing his/her face animation, though this sleep will be short lived and the target will awaken if attacked. Even after this attack has faded and the sleeping has stopped, the target will remain with reduced accuracy (though not as reduced) for a good long while (though after time even that will fade). Recharge: Moderate, Damage: Non-Existent.
Dust Cloud: Dust Cloud functions much like Sand Storm, It is a one target move that fades, though even after it has faded, the target is asleep, rubbing his/her face, the sleep is short lived, and s/he will awaken if attacked. Though while active Dust Cloud does not reduce accuracy, it completely stops the foe from being able to attack at all, though it does not last nearly as long as sand storm, and after the sleep stage it will be completely over. The foe can still move even though he cannot attack. Recharge: Moderate, Damage: Non-Existent.
Dust Bolt: You sent a bolt of compressed dust towards the foe, this dissipates on impact, dealing damage and reducing accuracy, while putting the foe to sleep, this sleep will be short lived, and the foe will wake if attacked. Recharge: Fast, Damage: Minor.
Dust Clump: Dust Clump does very minor damage while lowering the foes and all foes around hims accuracy, the foe and all those around him will also become held, the animation will be the foes face covered in dust, and the foe frantically trying to wipe it clean, if attacked the foe will not snap out of it, he will be helpless, unable to use any powers or move. Recharge: Slow, Damage: Minor (very minor and only the target will take damage not the foes around him).
Dust Coating: A foe and all foes around him will become coated in dust; there power recharge rate, movement speed and accuracy will all be greatly reduced while they are coated. Foes coated cannot jump or fly. Nor can they see well enough to use ranged attacks. Recharge: Slow, Damage: Non-Existent.
Snow Storm: Since snow is just dust coated ice, you can summon it. This attack is just like the snow storm that currently exists on CoH.
Seeds of Confusion: Among Dust particles, outside and indoors in houses with plants, one may find seeds, with that in mind, you can use the seeds of confusion. This is the seeds of confusion in CoV plant control.
Volcanic Ash: You can bring this scolding hot ash down on a targeted location, all foes within range will suffer moderate damage, they will also receive damage over time from the burn and any volcanic ash still on them, it will also lower there power recharge rate, movement speed, and damage resistance, they will also take damage every time they use a power for a long while after the attack. Recharge: Very Long, Damage not including the burn damage over time or the damage they will take every time they use a power: Moderate.
Dust Monster: You summon dust to form a powerful dust monster; this monster has no melee attacks, and has low damage resistance though most attacks will miss him as he can change shape in order to avoid attacks. His attacks are: Dust Cloud, Dust Clump and Dust Bolt, and he can become intangible at will. Recharge: Very Long.
Beastly Melee
Overview
Beastly Melee is a powerset that I came up with which I think would be successful largely because on CoV there is so much interest in being a demon or a monster or a wolf. It is a melee powerset which, like claws and spines, changes your chars appearance when you use certain attacks.
Attacks
Scratch: A simple and quick scratch. When this attack is used claws spring from the tips of the users fingers, these claws are smaller than those used in claws; alternatively, you may not be able to see them at all. Recharge: Very Fast, Damage: Minor.
Bite: A vicious bite. This attack does a moderate amount of damage and deals extra damage over time that is by no means trivial though a bad wound. When you use this attack your character sprouts fangs. Recharge: Moderate, Damage Moderate.
Devour: This attack resembles bite and you char will attain the same fangs, but unlike bite when you devour a foe you actually bite a chunk off. This allows minor health and endurance recovery, and like bite it will deal extra damage over time though a wound. Damage: Minor, Recharge: Slow.
Head Butt: You violently bash a foe with your skull. Damage: Moderate, Recharge: Fast.
Taunt: This is like the usual taunt in CoV Super Strength.
Rage: This is like the normal rage in CoV Super Strength.
Ferocity: You show a huge display of ferocity to a foe, which includes roaring and wild dancing. The foe, and all foes around him, are left completely helpless, trembling in fear. Recharge: Very Long, Damage: Non-Existent.
Slam: You push the whole weight of your body onto a foe with a brutal slam. The foe may become disoriented or experience knockback, or both. The force of the slam is so much that very nearby foes may also experience knockback. Though they will experience no other effects. Recharge: Very long, Damage, Extreme.
Absolute Madness Challenge Maul: As the name of this implies, you challenge a far away or near foe to a showdown, in this showdown you will explode in absolute madness, claws and fangs will pop out, and you will explode in a tremendous attack that causes absolutely massive damage, the foe will be so overpowered s/he will not fight back, so you will not take damage while using this attack, this attack causes truly tremendous damage, even if the foe is still standing after the attack, he will probably be trembling in fear, completely helpless, though tougher foes may resist this effect. After this attack you will be drained of endurance and will not be able to recover endurance for a good while. This works as a one person taunt and an attack though the attack itself is all melee range though you could taunt a far off foe to come to you. Recharge: Very Long (Very, Very Long) Damage: Extreme (Very Extreme).
Beastly Defence
Overview
Beastly Defence uses a mixture of dodge, defence and damage resistance that reflects the mad defence a beast would use.
Attacks
Primal Instinct: Primal Instinct allows beasts to quickly dodge potentially fatal melee blows. Primal Instinct is always on and costs no endurance.
Ferocious Blocking: Beasts that ferociously flung there arms up and down to deflect blows where quite safe. This is a toggle. Recharge: Very Long.
Tough Hide: Many beasts will have a very tough hide which will absorb blows. Grants damage resistance to smashing and lethal damage.
Movement Awareness: Many beasts are highly aware of even the fastest movement, which allows them to avoid it. This allows the user to dodge ranged attacks more often.
Resistance: Many beasts are very resistant to all kinds of effects. This offers you damage resistance to Fire, Cold and toxic.
Adaptation: This works in the same way as radiation infection, you use it on a foe, the more that foe attacks you, the less and less damage his attacks do, other foes near the original foe can also catch it, this power goes on until either of you die, or you run out of endurance. Recharge: Very Long.
Stand Tall: The beasts that prize there views and hold there heads high can resist psionic, energy and negative energy damage. This attack is always on and costs no endurance.
Unstoppable: This is just like the Unstoppable on CoV invulnerability.
