Claws/Regen can I skip stamina?

Hey there!

Just rolled one of these after seeing regen do some amazing things yesterday and I was wondering if you can get away with not taking stamina? Quick recovery gives a better end recovery boost than stamina, and claws is supposed to be a low end set. Whatchoo think, punks?

Cheers

Possibly, but you'd probably have to slot end reducers in your attacks. I have Stamina and I wouldn't want to lose it (especially with toggles such as Focussed Accuracy which uses a LOT of end). If you also bear in mind that the other powers in the Fitness pool can be useful for a Scrapper (Swift is excellent for moving around quickly, Health adds a nice boost to your regen when slotted), I think it's a very good pool to take.

Oh yeah, I was gonna take the other powers, I like them Maybe I'll just play by ear, but it'd be nice to hear from someone who's tried it.

I run MA/Regen without stamina, just QR 3 slotted, I just put 2 End reducers into each attack, and run integration with 3 heal, 3 end and Focussed Accuracy with 3 end red as well.
I personally chose this way because I still like hasten for bringing things like reconstruction, Dull pain etc back as quickly as possible (slotted with reacharge reducers too, I like them back ASAP!), and I like both SS and SJ powers so decided I wanted them both.

I don't normally have any end problems, only times I run low are carnies or sappers, stamina will get it back for you quickly with these, personally I just run conserve power when it is up and take a cab or 2 with me.

If you can fit stamina in, take it, it's never a bad power to have, but if you think of 3 other powers you would rather have, a stamina-less regen is perfectly playable.

I was thinking about skipping stamina with my MA regen but with no respecs left I havent tried it . Tho Green is right a stamina-less regen is possible but do you really want to comprimise your powers with 2 end red in them? Also health does give a decent buff to base regeneration which is always useful to have. Tho as green said agn the bottom line is what would you do with those 3 powers if not taking stamina. I woulnt take stamina by lvl 20 and could probably get away without it quite easily till lvl 30.

I think 2 end reductions in each power is a huge exaggeration. Quick Recovery gives a better end boost than stamina does, and most ATs can't even take both stamina and QR and they do perfectly OK, often without any end reduction slotting. Given claws reputation as a low end set I should be able to get away with just QR. I'll still likely get hurdle at least, and maybe health simply cos I like them

Level 37 Katana/regen. I have no end-reducers slotted and don't have Stamina so far (but I'm working up to it). The Quick Recovery makes it possible to avoid Stamina completely but I tend to drop low in Stamina in extended fights and sometimes even lose my Integration because of it.

I didn't notice any real impact from health myself but I know Stamina will help me in my weak part for now, and that are the extended fights. In solo-missions I can keep going and going, but in teams of 5 and up or smaller teams with an unyielding or tenacious setting I have to wait for 10-15 secs between fights to regain my end.

Same here, I dropped stamin from my DM/Rgn with the I6 respec, biggest mistake. Solo no problems small teams the same but once I'm in a big team I'm always running low on END. And thats bearing in mind the I have Dark Consumption (DM end recovery power). Next time I have a little cash I'm going to try sticking an END RDX into all my attacks and see if that helps, but next respec I'm taking stamina again.

It is definitely overkill pre-41, however at 41 I have Focussed Accuracy which is a complete end hog, also Integration running permanently, and also hasten so eagles claw and dragons tail come back quickly, all this can eat away at your end.

And to be honest, I ran out of things to slot as well, everything I wanted slotting was fully slotted, have hasten running so my attack chain is pretty much sorted, and noticed my end was running a bit lower than it had done before (had stamina in build before, so was used to not really looking at my health or my end ), and end reducers in all attacks do make a difference in large teams (I normally play in 5+ teams with the SG on invincible).

Yes you can, but why would you? With stamina you can run pretty much all the toggles you want and you dont have to worry about the blue bar.

My Ma/regen runs assault, tactics, combat jump, integration and sprint or superspeed, and sometimes whirlwind (against bosses and pretty much allways in PvP). I dont have endurance problems, but I dont think I can run whirlwind without it.

I presume you want to skip stamina to get other powers which you considders useful. Just remember that the fitness pool gives you faster speed (swift) and higher jumps (hurdle). This is good on a scrapper.

I wouldnt skip stamina.
