Rage
It's 20 or 25 end loss, and -10% def. You're also unable to attack for 10 sec.
Slot it with three recharge SOs and love it, for it is great.
Well, right up until the first time you jump right next to an AV at the exact time you crash, anyhow. That causes swearyness.

The down side to this power is lowerd defence and end drain,my question is how bad is it?

It only lower yours defence when rage crashes , it last 10 seconds, during those 10s you have reduced defences and are unable to atack !
it also drains 25 end points when it wheres of , if you dont manage you endurance , you can end up , with a full togle drop , a nasty defence debuff , zero defense togles , and unable to atack :P
The end crash , is easy to manage but the reduced defences will hurt you ! Also its sucks on teams :/ those 10 seconds when you can attack ,seem to last forever when everybody around you is fighting, and needs your help!
I run perma rage on my brute , and overall i say its an amazing power you just need to learn how to manage the rage crash !

it is great and mighty, and I wouldn't be without it; with 3 SOs for me (+2 SOs) the crash comes round just before the time it recharges... so I can almost predict it... be nice if it went 'beep' a few seconds before it crashed though.

It *always* crashes when you really don't want it to, even if you have a rough idea of when it's going to; yes, much sweariness - but that's it's charm
The crash really isn't that bad though, I can usually stand there swearing while it gets on with it... occasionally I'll backpedal a few feet for a bit of breathing room... it does seem to last lot longer than it actually does while you're stabbing the attack keys, mind.
Yup its a fantastic power, it's like a kick in the right direction of fury
To be honest the down time hurts tanks more than it does brutes from a 'can't protect the squishies' point of view, so its a win win situation more damage = smash, true you will be loosing fury during those 10 seconds, but overall your damage will be higher as you won't loose that much fury, especially if things are still attacking you. Still I can't see a reason not to have it, slot it and love it
I've got a Dark/SS brute. The only problem I found was that Rage becomes available at the same time as Dark Regeneration. How I wished I picked DR!
However you are a brute and if you are in search of max-smashage then Rage is great.
