i wouldnt recommend it mate.
I only have lvl 22 stone/fire tank - and recently had to rethink him following I6; and the major change was to swap out SS for TP. Just had him on a few mish's, and it makes a HUGE difference. Also this bind makes TP a lot easier to use = /bind LSHIFT+LBUTTON "powexec_name teleport"
Depends on the type of player u are i guess - ie best build, or the build that u like. If u really hate TP, SS is the other obvious choice. SS doesnt make that much of an impact to the speed penalties unfortunately; but that opinion is pre-granite armor only.

its TP or nothing if you take SS it will drop rooted and granite when you get them. You will need TP to be able to move around the map quickly and also there is nothing cooler than tping right in to the middel of a mob.
You do really need TP, but that doesn't mean you can't squeeze in a second travel power, I have fly as well as I hate TP.
Even after ED/I6 I don't think you *need* TP... though I do have it, I just don't use it all the time and surround myself with kinetic defenders and/or controllers 
Even if I wasn't playing with lots of kinetics I don't think I would use it all the time as I don't run around with Granite and Rooted on very often, just Granite, and with my three slot swift I can get around quick enough....
Just created a stone warmace tanker and need some help. I usually play controllers but stone tanks look pretty gd. I don't fancy taking TP as my travel power will this really let me down? Also.. any advice on playing styles and do n donts etc will b much appreciated
